The Windmill a/c is great- it's quite elegant looking and cools very well. It is overall much more quiet than a regular a/c but does still have a bit of a vibration sound even with the whisper tech; I had returned the initial unit because I didn't think it was supposed to make that sound, but the second one also makes that sound, so it's just the way it is but it's still really great.

The app automations just don't work at all about 1% of the time. It works great until it just... totally ignores the rules that were set. Just now I encountered a new problem, the app wouldn't communicate with the unit at all. I tried to manually set it to fan mode because the automation didn't work, and the app insisted it changed to fan mode, but the ac unit itself was still in cool mode. The ac itself works fine but I'm very angry about the spaghetti code app.

Thus ac is a replacement from Windmill. It has not been installed because it's still cold in Chicago. I appreciate Windmill for the replacement after my first unit malfunctioned. They reached out to me after my review and offered a replacement even after my warranty had lapsed. I will give a review when it heats up here. Thank you Windmill

This is the best window air conditioner I've ever owned. I purchased the 10,000 BTU model and it does a much better job of cooling the same space that the GE 12,000 BTU model it replaced. Not only that, but it is sooooo quiet. Its quiet in a way that you would not imagine is possible for a window unit. Finally, it has the easiest installation ever, and it literally comes with everything you need.

definitely as advertised it is quiet and very cool. Do you have a trouble with the remote the battery was a little weak replace the battery and now it’s working well. Also, if you have an old home with old windows, I suggest you tighten up all those gaps and those windows because it will rattle the windows but once you do that, it’s very quiet overall I would recommend this air conditioner, especially if it’s in your bedroom

I had an older, louder AC and needed the ability to control it from my phone during heat waves in LA. Windmill checked all the boxes and the design is minimal and blends nicely with the decor in my bedroom. Love how quiet it is. I would need to turn off my old one just to hear myself think again but with Windmill I can leave it on for a long time and forget it’s on. Overall a great purchase so far.

The AC is quiet, powerful and efficient. I had an issue with the thermostat and I called customer service. They were extremely helpful and we trouble shot together. When we couldn’t solve the problem, they replaced the unit free of charge. So far, working with Windmill has been a wonderful experience.

I have bought a few cheaper window units thinking they were all the same. When I was never able to get cool, I thought maybe it was just my house, my room, just the way things were. Needless to say, I was wrong. This air conditioner is the best, THE BEST unit I have encountered so far. It gets my room cold. COLD!!! The app is an incredible bonus. Once it really gets hot regularly, this will be invaluable to having my room cold, even before I get home. It's amazing!! Then to top it off, it looks cool too!

Our first AC came with a problem & customer service was incredibly helpful and quickly sent us a replacement AC. It was stress free as we didn’t have to repackage and return the broken unit. 10/10 best customer service experience & our new unit works incredibly! Zero noise and it cools our living room in seconds.

I wanted to love this - believe me - after having a rough bad luck streak with broken air conditioners I desperately wanted this to be perfect. But sadly I’m on my second windmill AC (after the company fairly seamlessly replaced my first - points for that) and this one is just as loud and metallic sounding as the first unit. Chugs with any effort at all. I can’t afford to replace this again but I will be sleeping with earplugs all summer and getting rid of this before next season.
