Very happy with the ac unit

I'm very happy and impressed with the Windmill air conditioner. I installed in our short term rental unit and it excels at all levels. One, it looks very good on both sides. Over the years I've had a number of units in the window. Some are aesthetically tolerable from the inside but all, up until the Windmill unit, are an eyesore from the exterior. Two, its functionality is elegant - straightforward and intuitive, and buttons are responsive. Three, the remote is attractive - which is a rarity for air conditioners.Four, the motor and fan is quiet but powerful - cooling the space quickly. And five, it seals very well around the window, with some very well thought out designs for air sealing and aesthetics. The unit is a little pricey compared to others but worth the cost. I plan to buy more for our house when the time comes.

Awesome little window AC

I got the 6000 BTU version for a teenager's small bedroom. The unit was great. Very easy to install. Looks sleek. Having it available through the app is a nice bonus. Plan to replace older, less efficient units with other Windmill ACs this coming summer

Best AC unit

I've owned a competitor u-shaped window unit and love the Windmill more! The design is perfect and doesn't stick out in our living room. It was incredibly easy to set up and I love that you can control it via your phone when you aren't home. I recommend this unit to everyone.

Best AC out there

I purchased 2 WhisperTech ACs for my small NYC apartment after seeing how well the unit worked in my daughter's studio apartment. I am very happy with the units. They are quiet and I really like that they don't blow air out the front of the unit, but from the top! My bedroom unit is fairly close to my bed and I don't have the problem of feeling the cold air while I am sleeping. This is such a welcome change to the older unit I had that was loud and blowing constanting in my face! And in living room, there is no problem watching TV or listening to music because the AC makes only the slightest of sounds while on. Customoer service is also top notch. I was having an issue with the charcoal filters and my problem was quickly resolved. The employees are very responsive and helpful.

Double Happy

I purchased not just one but two Windmill air conditioners. After my first purchase of a 12K BTU WhisperTech for my living room, I followed with an additional purchase of a 10K BTU WhisperTech for my bedroom. They are super efficient and oh so quiet. Also they are so good looking too. So happy with my purchases. Highly recommended.

Cool and Quiet, Fresh and Clean

We love Windmill so much, we retired our perfectly good Frigidaire air conditioner for our kids' room because we wanted something quieter, more intuitive and energy efficient after we bought our fist Windmill for our dining room several years ago and it cooled down the whole house. Saving for the next one!

Great choice!

I love my Windmill AC. It looks so much nicer than most A/C's, it can be co trolled by my phone, and it cools quickly! The only down side is that it would vibrate at certain points when running, but thst was easily rectified by placing a wedge in the window (I used a piece of wood cut to size). It gave enough pressure on the window to stop the rattle.

Quiet but powerful!

I live in a small apartment in NYC — the Windmill AC was perfect for my shoebox-sized room. I loved the fact that I could control it remotely to cool down my room before I got off the subway, and I found it incredibly intuitive to use. I'm moving to a larger apartment in a couple months and looking forward to getting a second one. Also, my roommate's cat loves to sit by it too!

Pre-Civil War home in southwest Ohio

I ordered the smallest Windmill AC for our 2nd floor hallway in our brick row house built circa 1850 in southwestern Ohio. Why on earth, you may be asking?- the summers are hot and muggy, with weeks well over 95 degrees and nights that just don't cool off.- our house is tall and narrow. 4 floors, including the stone basement, and everything is brick/stone so the heat hangs on in summer. In winter it's great, in summer you just want to lay on the floor in your swimsuit and drink Gatorade.- oddly enough, we have central A/C through out the 1st and 2nd floors and a mini-split system in the finished attic. It was an airflow issue. The ceilings are nearly 11 feet and with teenagers than kept their doors shut unless they were actively using their doors, the 2nd floor had zero circulation. Heat built up in the hallway where there wasn't an A/C vent and it was impossible to install one because the cool air from the ground floor forced it upwards. The attic mini-spits weren't designed to maintain CONSTANT, UNYIELDING action and were struggling to keep up with the warm air perpetually floating upstairs. The energy bill was ballooning wildly out of control and with my bedroom, bathroom, and work from home office in the finished attic, something had to be done. With one window 22 inches wide in the hallway, I ordered the 6k BTU unit and crossed my fingers. Installation took 3 minutes. The unit was directly across from my husband's office and he couldn't notice any background noise, even with the door open. Within the afternoon, the hallway was the same temperature as the rest of the house and the upstairs system shut off for the first time in weeks. That would have been enough for me, I was already celebrating. Over the rest of the summer, my energy bill was down roughly 40% despite having an additional AC unit. I've recommended it to several neighbors who suffered from the same issue and have a similar layout.

Pretty on the Outside (and inside)

While all of my neighbors have unsightly and rickety window bangers, my sleek Windmill sits gracefully perched in the window. I am stopped on the street with fingers pointing up above, "What is that??" I proudly declare, "She's a Windmill" Before you spend the money on mini-splits or central air, give the Windmill a try!
