You also can't use it in conjunction with any other discounts or offers. so if you are on a student or family plan, this doesn't give you some sort of prorated amount, or even replace your existing plan. I purchased this card seeing that it cannot be used for a Family Plan which didn’t affect me as I have a basic, single plan. I STILL wasn’t able to use it. The solution Spotify suggested, which I did, was to cancel my subscription and re-subscribe. It worked. It was a hassle. In the process I lost the option of having free Hulu added to my account so it really wasn’t worth it.
