no smooth ride at highway speeds

Have almost 80k miles on my 2012 Sierra Denali 2500HD and have gone through ten tires so far. Two tires had belts separating, one at 1500 miles and another at 50,000 miles. The first was replaced and the second was replaced with a new set, not because of worn tread, but because of more possible tire issues with the original. Balance and ride at highway speeds has been an issue always, since the complete new set at 50,000 miles, the problem is actually worse. At 73,000 miles two more tires replaced because they can not be smoothed out with the "road force" balancing. Ride vibration is now better but not correct. I have almost always used another brand and get around 70-72,000 trouble free miles per set, trucks or cars. I have never had to go through so many visits to a tire dealer and so many tires to end up with the same problem that is only a little better .

Nothing Special

These are mediocre tires at best that came new on my 17' Ram SLT crew cab pickup. Nothing special at all about them other than they seem to be wearing very quickly. They are always kept at the correct tire pressure (40 lbs. psi) and rotated at every oil change. At 18,875 miles they are over 1/2 worn. The truck is a pavement princess and is always driven on paved roads. I live in Florida so bad weather usually consists of a 1/2 hr. rain storm. The tires have never seen ice or snow. When it comes time to buy a new set, I will definitely look for better wearing tires.

Better than expected

Tires are on a 2016 Jeep Unlimited Freedom Edition. Drove through some flat out bad road conditions. They did quite well in fresh snow, and not to bad on packed snow. Of course not that great on ice, what non-studded, or ice tire is. Many get remove on Jeeps because they don't look aggressive enough. I've got 27K now, probably get another 5K out of them. Keep them rotated every 5K.

Not recommended, poor performance tire

I bought a set of 4 new tires for my wife's QX56. She drives 6.6k miles a year taking the kids to school and church, not a rally driver at all. After 15,931 miles when I took the car for its standard alignment and rotation the same store told me I will be needing new tires very soon. I have alignment done frequently as well and keep my tires with manuf. recommended pressure. These tires also need improvement in wet condition, very slippery even with traction control. I hope Good Year can take care of my wife's car and replace the tires with better ones. Will update if they do. Thanks

Absolutely Horrible

These tires came new on my new Nissan Titan. I have less than 13,000 miles on the truck and the tires are shot. Tread wear is atrocious. Cannot recommend these tires in a any way, shape, or form. Definitely would never buy a replacement set of these.

It's a very functional tire with a good ride, at a reasonable price. It does not stand up well to gravel roads where one is driving at 80 Km/hr or more, however. The tire cuts easily. For highway driving it is a very quiet and comfortable ride. Driving in rain and snow is no problem so long as one has at least 50% tread left, and you drive to conditions.

The Right Tool For The Right Job

Early this summer I found myself in the unfortunate predicament of having to replace all of my tires at the same time. Needless to say, while I wasn't happy about it, it did offer me the opportunity for the first time in my life to put the same 4 tires on my vehicle. Faced with few options, I decided to spring for the best tire available and I'm glad I did. Driving a Jeep means I am regularly on the go and doing it on a variety of surfaces, so whether it is rainy city streets and highways or old logging roads through the wood, I'm dependent on a good set of tires to keep me rolling. The Wrangler SR-A's have been more than I expected to get out of a tire already and I hope they will continue to impress me over the next several thousand miles.

Horrible tires! Dealer recommended these for my Nissan Armada when I went in for an oil change at 30k miles, and other than good traction, I have nothing good to say about these. I only got 18 months and 35,000 miles on these tires--which are rated for 50k miles. They were difficult to balance and were constantly shimmying at high speeds or fast braking. I'm an average driver who drives equally on highway and city, and live in Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex where we are without extreme weather. I wouldn't ever purchase these tires again, nor would I recommend them to anyone.

Would never recommend

These tires were on my Ford F-150 which was purchased in May, 2013, with less than 50 miles on the truck. With approximately 11,000 miles on the truck we got a flat tire which we were told by our Ford dealer was irreparable and not under warranty. I now have to purchase a new tire for a truck that is not even 6mos old. Ridiculous!

Bang for the buck! Very good deal.

These tires are on a Ford F150 Supercab. The factory original tires were Hankook. The ride is substantially better than the original and compare somewhat to a sedan in smoothness. These tires do not shimmy when at highway speed (neither did the originals, but I have had this problem with replacement tires in the past). I have noted that when hitting "washboarding" in the road, these tires make the truck track MUCH BETTER than the original tire. THe truck is much easier to handle in this situation. No noted trouble with wet traction with not much experience there recently. Bang for the buck! These are good tires for a good price. I will buy again.
