Jeep Wrangler 4xe (PHEV)

I've had these for 18 months and >5,000 miles, primarily on-road with some light gravel road travel. They are on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (PHEV, extra weight, 20" rims). No wear noticed yet, good interstate speeds, and I'm getting great gas mileage as they roll easy.

Great tire, will buy again.

I’ve had these for 25k miles now on my Chevy Colorado Z71. These are far quieter than the previous KO2’s I replaced and have performed great in the snow, rain and gravel where I live in the mountains of the high Sierras. Although they don’t perform quiet as well as the KO2’s in the snow they more than make up for that with better ride quality, less noise and are still a very capable tire on and off paved roads. Great for highway driving on and off road for all seasons.

Good looking tire but hard to balance

Nice looking tire and they ride well, however they were hard to get balanced correctly. The tire shop I purchased from had to order two new tires to replace one that wouldn't balance out and one that wouldn't balance and also had radial pull. After a half day of working on them they finally got them to almost no vibration when driving. From 0 to 70 MPH they run smooth but at 75+ I can still feel a slight vibration. I can live with that. From a ride standpoint good. I replaced a set of Michelin highway tread tires so I was worried about the road noise but it isn't awful. The Michelin's were very quiet so I was spoiled. I don't have many miles on them yet so it remains to be seen how they hold up but I've always had good luck with BFG's so I expect them to workout.

Dangerous tire in any non-dry weather

Purchased in February 2024 for 2022 Toyota Tacoma 2WD access cab. 4,000 miles in, first decent rain storm, traction was almost non-existent. First snow at 4,800 miles, it was as if the tires were totally bald. Even a police office who saw me spinning all over the road hopped in and drove my truck and couldn't believe how terrible the tires were. Got rid of them at 5,200 miles. These tires CANNOT handle any weather, much less severe weather and are an extremely dangerous tire to have on your vehicle. How they made it past inspections during the manufacturing process is beyond me.

Terrible in rain

I’d had these for 10,000 miles on an 2007 Silverado and they’ve been great except for driving in the rain. They’re borderline dangerous in rain. Stopping distance is terrible and I can’t breath on the gas pedal without them breaking loose. I about got in an accident this morning because they wouldn’t grip to save their lives while making a turn from a stop sign into traffic. This last winter was a mild one for my area, and they did fine in snow, hoping they do ok in heavier snow this upcoming winter. Overall there’s no chance I’ll buy these again, it’s like driving on ice skates in the rain.

Best tires I’ve ever owned. Period.

Best tires I’ve ever had. Currently sitting at 74000 miles on the set on my rav4 hybrid awd. I do outside sales for a living so I drive in all conditions and I also hunt out of the vehicle too so I get in the mud and off road some. Only reason I didnt give 5 stars is they could be better in the rain.

K02 to Trail Terrain

K02's wore out, needed some new tires and went for a step down because road noise was getting terrible with the K02's. Silverado 1500 with the 275x65r18. I no longer wanted 10 ply tires, K02's are awesome, tough but man they are harsh and loud! Not terrible in town or on nice highways but country crap roads and terrible town roads they are annoying after a while. I can't say enough good about the Trail Terrains! So quiet! So smooth! Things I have notices so far, I went from 18MPG combined to 21MPG. Rolling resistance is almost not even there with the TT tires. Letting off the gas to slow down coming in to town where it turns to 35 I had it nailed with the K02's where I didn't have to use the brake, I let off the gas with the TT tires and I am still going 60Mph by the time I hit the 35Mph zone! Rumble strips in the middle of the road you hardly feel now. I tried every tire pressure on the K02's finding 55 front, 45 rear to be the most comfortable and least noise over the 3 years I drove on them. The TT tires have 34 PSI. The TT tires are 2 ply so the ride is so much smoother. Handling seems to be about the same, they just feel great. They don't look quite as good but they are nice looking tires and just so much better on the road.

Definitely on my list for replacement tires.

Have at least 5000 miles on these tires on my 2014 F150 4x4. Crew Cab with a 6.5' bed, so I Don't expect good 2wd traction on snow, but at highway speeds, these are very forgiving. Not too loud, but still a good hum to know when something changes. Wet traction is great, it only slides when I want to. 4wd is a must with anything more than 2" of snow on the ground, but once rolling these tires stick.

Wonderful Tires for Offroad

My Subaru Forester required tires for offroad, and we decided after a lot of shopping for this Trail Terrain tires. this past weekend we visited El Cielo Biosphere Reserve a 7,500 ft. mountains location altitude located in Gomez Farias Mexico, climb up rock dirty roads with severe storms it was incredible experience and the tires worked very well in wet conditions in our way down too.

Beyond disappointed with winter performance.

The absolute worse tires I have ever owned when it comes to winter driving. There are on a 2005 Toyota 4Runner. I have always been satisfied with the All Terrain K02s, and extremely impressed with General Grabber A/TX tires, both of the aforementioned seeing severe winter weather with snow drifts and icy roads. Surprisingly I've never felt the need to air down either of the two when winter conditions worsen in all of the years when using the K02s and Grabber ATXs. November of 2021 I decided on trying the Trail terrains. Overall I have been very happy with the fair weather performance. However, after the second winter on these Trail Terrains, I came to the conclusion that I have very little confidence in these tires. I understand that these are not dedicated snow tires like the Blizzaks that I also use, but never encountered this many issues when compared to the many, many miles I have put on the 4Runner using KO2s and Grabber ATXs. These Trail terrains have only encountered only the light stuff, packed snow, three or inches of fresh snow, wet/slushy snow, etc. I have not encountered any severe conditions remotely close to what I have went through with the KO2s and the Grabbers, issues that I have never thought twice about in the past. My approach now is purchasing a second set of Grabber ATXs, or KO2s for winter driving and run the Trail Terrains in the spring/summer/fall until it is time for replacement, then go back with either one of my two picks year round.
