works great and fun to operate

I bought this item for myself and was totally taken aback by the results. My neighbor lady owns a restaurant and had a lot of small potatoes she had considered gving away because theyre a pain to hand peel. I took my Rotato over for her to try out, and she loved it. I ordered her one. I leave mine sitting right on the counter for the grandkids to use on the apples they always help themselves to. So easy to use. Instead of minutes to hand peel, this takes mere seconds to do several. For those commenting on it not cutting off as much skin as they want, you just need to set the blade at the narrowest part of the fruit/vegetable, and it works slick. It may be made of plastic, but you dont need to use a lot of force to hold the item in place. I can hardly wait for canning season, this little contraption is going to save hours of work. Youll be amazed with the results. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Easy Peeling!

I BOUGHT THIS AS A GIFT FOR MY BOYFRIEND. HE MAKES HOMEMADE LIMONCELLO, WHICH REQUIRES THE ZEST OF ABOUT 12 LEMONS PER BATCH. HE WOULD PAINSTAKINGLY USE A HAND PEELER TO TRY AND GET JUST THE YELLOW. THE Rotato Express DOES SEEM A BIT MORE “PLASTIC” THAN I EXPECTED, BUT IT WORKS AS ADVERTISED. IT ZIPPED THROUGH THE LEMONS WITH EASE. HE HAD PERFECT STRIPS OF JUST ZEST! HE WAS PLEASED.

Wonderful time saver!

I received my potato peeler for my birthday in August and I use it about 4 times a week. I love it! I have arthritis in my hands so this has been a godsend for me! My only problem now is my blade is too dull and I didn't have and replacements with mine. I guess they got left out. I can't find a place to order them. Help!.

Awesome

This product is really great! My mom is disabled and only has use of one arm so she can't peel potatoes. I bought her this and now she can make mashed potatoes on her own. It also peels a lot of other fruits and vegetables; if you're sick of peeling produce or just can't, this is an awesome product for you!

Good not great

Whatever you peel it needs to be very round and not having bumps or lumps or it almost pitches item off stand. I peeled several baking potatoes and it took no time and did a great job. Did a wonderful job on peeling lemons and apples. A bit flimsy and difficult to load but with my arthritis I am glad I bought.

It works surprisingly well

I have to admit I had no expectations but given how much work we put into peeling vegetables, I thought it might be worth a try. The minute we got it, we decided to give it a try and it made short work of the potatoes. Ours came with extra blades and an AC adapter, I’m surprised that it also takes batteries. It is a great little tool, I’m happy we gave it a try. Shipping through Sam’s Club was pretty quick, too.

This thing is AMAZING

A few reviews that say it's cheap, all plastic, etc. you, my friends, are missing out on a very useful & effective tool. Sure, if the potato is super misshapen the blade won't make contact. And know that spiral ridges are left after peeling. But who cares? The fact is that this peeler makes really quick work of the arduous chore of peeling potatoes. While it doesn't look like a high-brow appliance and probably wouldn't be a good choice for an industrial kitchen, it's perfect for the home cook. Now I'll make my husband's fave potato salad more often.

Don't Mind having Potatoes Now. :)

It's all plastic. I have peeled potatoes with it then I decided to peel the inside of the potato as well and it work great. The red tip is the blade and the peeling shoots out the peace make sure you have something for it to shoot out on. We tried Orange it only peels the outer piece so you still have to peel on second round it got to the white bitter part. Then it does not peel after that. Worked great on cucumber you do have to cut it down to fit into the space that holds it. Apples work great. It would be better if the cord had a place to wrap around and if it compacted down smaller but other than that as of right now we had it a few weeks and we love it. We also ordered the curly fry cutter it is great.

Ok so I know it sounds crazy to run off and buy a electric potato peeler because let's be honest peeling potatoes isn't hard. But since I make my husband to it I thought it would be a nice little gift. And yes it did he loves that little machine. All you do I'd plop the potato on the bottom spiked lower the arm down and turn on then presto peeled potatoe. Not like you need to be rocket scientist or anything. He did have an issue when it came to the blade he for the life of him couldn't get it back on. The instructions was very much help but with a real good look at the picture I was able to get it on.
