I don't know if the apples I am using are too big, but they seem to easily fit. First time, it peeled (easily, and in one long, continuous piece) ... but it didn't do the top or bottom 20% of the apple. Second time, it only peeled about 20-25% of the apple -- despite repeated attempts. It's going back.

YOU CAN USE WITH ENCLOSED AC ADAPTER OR WITH BATTERIES (I GUESS IT MIGHT BE NICE IF HAD REGULAR UL CORDING), BUT WOULD LIKELY COST MORE FOR THAT-- SO HEY U CAN TAKE THIS ONE CAMPING IF U LIKE. I bought this item for myself and was totally taken aback by the results. My neighbor lady owns a restaurant and had a lot of small potatoes she had considered gving away because theyre a pain to hand peel. I took my Rotato over for her to try out, and she loved it. I ordered her one. I leave mine sitting right on the counter for the grandkids to use on the apples they always help themselves to. So easy to use. Instead of minutes to hand peel, this takes mere seconds to do several. For those commenting on it not cutting off as much skin as they want, you just need to set the blade at the narrowest part of the fruit/vegetable, and it works slick. It may be made of plastic, but you dont need to use a lot of force to hold the item in place. I can hardly wait for canning season, this little contraption is going to save hours of work. Youll be amazed with the results. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Great item! I had bought a hand crank version and tried it with my grandchildren. It was a flop. The apple kept falling off. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this electric version, but was pleasantly surprised. I used it for both potatoes and apples and it works great.

Made extremely of cheep plastic. It does work very well, but I'm expecting it to break. I have to be very careful with it because of cheep plastic parts. This is an awesome design, if only it was built to last. (I would pay 3 times more for better material) It will break and I will buy anther one. So be prepared to buy several in a life time.

I recieved this awesome appliance as a Christmas gift last year. I love it. My hands hurt so bad peeling potatoes and it was hard for me to peel them thinly. It's a breeze to peel potatoes now. I tell my brother in law that I love him every time I use it. I plan to get several to give as Christmas gifts this year. Every kitchen needs one. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT

I bought this a few weeks ago. Peeled several potatoes. I kept re-peeling them down to about an inch. I took the pile of peels and put them in my deep fryer. Amazing crispy shoestring chips. Grandkids loved them. So much fun. I also just peeled potatoes for boiling so quick and eat. Easy clean up too"

This is a wonderful small appliance to peel a lot of potatoes quickly--10 seconds per potato. It's also fun to use--would be great for an older child to help out. As an added bonus, I scrub the potatoes first, then fry up all the peelings in olive oil, salt them and have a lovely snack!

This little gadget is perfect for me! I have arthritis is my hand and peeling potatoes is painful. I peel potatoes like I peel apples so my hand really hurts, and on Thanksgiving I peel 10 pounds. This peeler is wonderful, just put the tater on the stand, press the button and within seconds it's ready for the next one. It is all plastic, so nothing heavy duty or fancy, but don't let that fool ya!

Best product for peeling a bag potatoes in a matter of minutes. I bought this for making homemade mashed potatoes. I wanted to test it out before Easter comes, I'll be serving over 20 people, so I tried a bag of potatoes. I zipped through the bag in a couple minutes. Best investment I've made.
