We bought this box for our son to use at daycare over the summer and school during the year. We were hoping to cut bag on expensive and non-eco friendly plastic bags and allow him to eat a wider variety of foods for lunch. This product delivered on both! The removable tray insert being dishwasher safe is the game changer. It gave us the convenience and long-term usability of throw-away without the waste, something we were missing with reusable bags. We have been using all summer and we love everything about it. Would recommend to anyone and everyone looking for lunch boxes for a child or adult!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We go through a lot of lunch boxes so I was thrilled to find this one. It’s easu to take apart and clean and has many different compartments for snacks. We especially love that it closes air tight tight so we can put ranch in there and it doesn’t spill out.

Our daughter is now 7 and has been using Bentgo Kids boxes since she was 3. We use the box literally every day for packing her school lunch during the week and snacks/lunch on weekends. She likes a variety of food in one sitting and this box is perfect with its different compartments that keep everything separate. It stores all food extremely well with the exception of red spaghetti sauce. We use a different container for that because the tomato seems to stain the inner seal of the Bentgo and it’s hard, near impossible to wash out. But tilt them sideways, jostle them around, these boxes never leak and each food remains in its compartment. The quality of the plastic is excellent, smooth to the touch. The rubber trim on the outside is great for holding the box in place on a table or when sitting with it on your lap. If there’s not enough space to eat with the top flipped open, you can just pop the food tray out. That having been said, she is now on her third box, soon to be fourth. So they do eventually need to be retired. And they are not the cheapest box on the market. But in my experience Bentgo honors their 2-year warranty, as long as you can provide documentation for the purchase and the problem. I was surprised to read that others unfortunately have not had the same smooth experience with this process. We had a latch break on one after 23 months and mildew develop along an inside compartment seal of another. The first was replaced even at 23 months, and the other is currently being replaced, so with the replacements maybe it would be more correct to say we are on our “second” box. My daughter’s father initially balked at the price. But between the box’s durability, ease of use, and Bentgo honoring their replacement policy, even he feels they are very worth the price and would recommend them. She may need a bigger box next year. When she does, I will definitely take be taking a close look at Bentgo’s other products and the reviews.

I bought these for my 7 year old twins who saw them and needed to have them. They promised to pack their own lunches if I bought them, so I reluctantly bought them and was shocked at how much this motivated one of my 7 year olds. She has packed every meal in her box since we bought it and even washes it on her own! I’m hoping the excitement doesn’t fade before school starts.

We’ve been using bentgo boxes for our kids since our oldest started pre-k 7 years ago. The boxes have grown with our kids who now use the Bentgo Fresh boxes. 8 can fit plenty of lunch for my 3 growing boys, while keeping foods that shouldn’t mix separate. We also love these during soccer season when I pack breakfast or all snacks to keep them busy during back to back games. Excellent quality and excellent customer service. 💯 recomenf

We love Bentgo! This lunchbox has been a great upgrade from the 5-compartment for our 6-year old, and helps with perfectly portioned lunches. Reached out to customer service about a replacement part, which they responded to quickly and effectively. So happy with our Bentgo collection!

The lunchbox has 5 compartments varying in size and even includes a small compartment for condiments. Each one is secured when you close it so nothing will leak into other compartments. Not to mention they are so cute and I can’t wait to get great use out of it, my next pick would be the orange one ! Thanks Bentgo!

We have 6 of the style bentgos. Most we have had for a year +. Unfortunately our two newer ones have both broken at the tabs (outer shell). After speaking to the company the outer shell shouldn’t be dishwashed, even in the top rack (the symbols imprinted on the outer shell says different). We will continue to buy these just simply for convenience and functionality for school lunches.

We are a bentgo box lunchbox family. Every child has one. Every niece and nephew also gets on for their birthdays. It’s a great box that is durable and high quality. It never leaks. My kids love using it and want to eat everything in their boxes! The designs are so cute too

This is such a quality lunch box you can’t go wrong. Tested the leak proof claim and it didn’t spill a drop. My son loves the design and is really proud of it. He has shown it off to others a few times. He likes to help pack his lunch for school and deciding which food goes where so that's been fun. I like it so much that I'm going to buy my husband's and mine, too.
