When I saw the word "softgel" I assumed that this would be pliable however the capsule is totally rigid. It will depress slightly if you squeeze it very hard with your fingers. I tried to swallow this but after having it get stuck in my throat sideways two or three times I gave up. The capsules in the same milligram amount or excellent and very easy to swallow.

Tasted OK. Except for the artificial sweetener taste. So I looked at the ingredients and I see Xylitol. I googled Xylitol and the gist was that it is safe for humans but can kill your dog. I don't trust it. I was buying the liquid turmeric for the health benefits. If I wanted something tasty I would buy Ice Cream.
