Great new tires

One reason I keep the membership is for tires and batteries

Michelin

Third set of Michelin's on our 2008 Odyssey. Last set lasted 73,000 miles. Smooth , quiet ride. They handle great in rain and dry conditions. I wouldn't buy any other brand !

Not Happy with X-TOUR A/S 2 tires

I bought these tires 3 month ago for my Honda CRV. I am not happy with the tires performance. They loose the elasticity in cold weather very easily and actually I didn't have the feel of new tires even on the day of purchase. The tires are hard even on 40 to 60 degree weather. I had only Michelin tires on my cars for the last 20 plus years, being very happy with them. Not with these tires. I wish I could changed them with the Michelin Cross Climate 2 tires which are fantastic all the way. My The other Honda Accord runs on them right now.

bebert5, we're sorry to read of your disappointment. We'd recommend having the tires inspected by an authorized retailer. Have the dealer call us at 866-866-6605 while you are there so we can get their report.

Very slippery and poor tread life

I bought these tires 22 months ago for my 2013 Grand Caravan. I was happy with them when they were new. Now, 24k miles later, 60% of the tread is gone and they are very slippery on wet roads. So slippery, that I am afraid to have my family ride in this car. I have kept up with tire rotation and the tread wear is perfectly even. Typically, I get 60k mi of use before I see this type of performance loss.

Instant decrease in MPG

Bought these a few weeks ago they are great tires except for the decrease in MPG , now average 4-5 MPG less than before.I bought my vehicle brand new off the lot (with brand new Kulmo tires) and combined MPG was 39-40 always. So not sure for the explanation from Michelin regarding why and that MPG will improve over time.Other than that they handle amazing, are extremely quiet ,and have an amazing 80,000 mile warranty. With that being said if I new about the substantial MPG decrease I would have picked different tires.

Z2468, thanks for taking the time to submit a review. We are sorry to hear that the fuel efficiency did not meet your expectations. As you indicated, when new tires are installed on a vehicle, the fuel efficiency will typically experience an initial drop compared with the worn tires that were removed. Over the life of a set of tires fuel savings will normally become evident.

Loudest tires I have ever owned.

I purchased a set of 4 Michelin X-TOUR tires for my 2014 Subaru Forester. The ride is firm and they feel safe. However they are produce a low roaring soul starting at about 30 mph which I find very annoying. I have been hoping that they will quiet down when the tread wears down. They were supposed to be premium but they sound a lot like snow tires on my dad's car.

rjtiedeman, sorry to hear of your noise complaint. An irregular wear pattern on the tires can create noise. Perhaps Costco can check this on your next visit.

15-20% worse gas mileage even after 10K miles + loud

I bought these instead of the Defender 2 as I was told they are the same. My MPG dropped by as much as 20% (minimum 10%, worst case 20% depending on speed and route), and even after 10K miles, it has not improved one bit. Further, it is quite loud on the highway. My old tires were cheap Firestone tires and were better in all aspects except durability. My hybrid now gets almost non-hybrid MPGs thank to these Michelins! I would get rid of these if I could, but I am past the 60 days. I will never buy Michelin tires again.

Very happy, no noise

I was a little worried with an xl tire and 80,000 mule treadlife, that it might be noisy on honda odyssey. Turned out just fine. No noise at all, and the traction is at least as good as the oem turanzas that were on it

Slippery when wet

As another reviewer wrote, these tires are very slippery when the road is wet. From a stop sign, these tires will spin out. In the rainy highway drive, they lose control and I'm afraid for my familiys safety.

Dependable traction with a comfortable ride.

I am not usually a brand guy but these Michelin Tire are worth the price for both handling and performance.
