I typically use imperial measure, but we seem to have to deal with the metric system here and there, so I like a ruler that has both. It seems like a better quality plastic or acrylic than your typical dollar store ruler. There are times I'd like an 18-inch ruler, but that takes up more room and is a bit more difficult to manipulate than this one. If you need a flexible ruler, this one checks all the boxes for me. The graduations are easy to read and etched into the material for durability. The little 1/32s section is handy for more critical measurements. It doesn't seem like it would break easily, and is a seemingly flexible plastic (acrylic). The hanging hole is a nice touch for keeping it close and ready for use.
