I think I understand more about tire noise. There are two types of noise. The rolling noise and the hard hitting noise of tires hitting potholes and other irregularities in the road. The rolling noise is low. The bumps are like what I am used to maybe better at deadening noise. There is something about these tires that make it very hard to relax and drive in a straight line. I have had almost all the front suspension parts replaced and alignment done twice and it is still a chore to drive. It is no fun to drive. Before I got the new tires, parts and alignment I used to enjoy driving this car. I own 5 other vehicles including this one now and I have never had tires make such a difference that I don't even want to drive it any more.

I replaced my absolutely horrible Firestone tires with these Goodyear tires and I'm much happier with how much better the ride is. The original Firestone tires only had 18k on them, but I couldn't stand the jarrinng ride any longer. Traction is much better too with these Goodyear tires; no more spinouts with rapid acceleration from a dead stop.

These tires have excellent grip, are very quiet, and kill road feel. There's no driver feedback, and it just deadens everything, isolating the car from the road 100%. Handling is mildly vague. They certainly take all the fun out of driving, so if you like a playful or sporty handling car, this is not your tire. But if you prize a quiet, sedate, soft ride with excellent traction and don't care about sportiness or feeling the road, this is about as good as it gets.

After about 2,000 miles on the new tires on my Cadillac XT4, I have to admit I am pretty impressed. Admittedly, the OE Continentals had over 33K miles on them, but these new Goodyear "ComfortDrive" tires are better riding, better steering, and better cornering. I did not expect so much all- around competence. Very pleased so far, but we'll see how they do this winter.

You know the old saying "you only get what you pay for" Well I always tried to get the highest milage expectation for the lowest price. Every time I would end up being dissatisfied with the road noise or stiff ride. This time I decided to focus on ride comfort and quiet road noise. I selected Goodyear's "ComfortDrive". I couldn't be happier to this point, as advertised performance! The ride seems to be better now than at any time that I've owned this Maxima in the past 9 years. This tire is decent. The major pro for this tire is that it is very quite. It has good traction and soft ride. However, it doesn't handle bumps very well. It's not a performance tire, so the handling and breaking is is what you can expect from a soft tire. Wet traction is OK but you certainly can tell a difference from the dry. My specific install was for 4 tires that weren't from the same date code, which in fact spans for 3 years. I would say that if you can get this tire with a good rebate, that is a great value for money.

Have had assurance touring model on 3 cars and tires were great. Easily get 80 k Had a screw in my 2015 Lexus ES 350 and had to place one comfort drive on with the other three comfort touring. Supposedly the comfort drive was the exact replacement for the discontinued comfort touring . Have about 78000 miles on the comfort touring and about 55000 on the comfort drive. Here's the kicker , the comfort touring with the 78000 miles has much more tread left than the 55000 mile comfort drive. Tires were religiously rotated regularly. Would love to get the assurance comfort touring but I guess Goodyear realized it was too good and gave us consumers way more miles than they figured on . At least that's my 2 cents

I had 4 Goodyear Assurance ComfortDrive tires installed a month ago. They're definitely smooth and quiet, but my gas mileage took a 10% dive. I took a 400-mile freeway trip on my old tires and saw 37.7mpg in my 2018 CR-V. With these new tires, I could barely manage 34mpg. Same drive, same speed, same weather, same car, same 35psi. I'm stuck with these tires for the next 5 years or so and the money I'll be losing on gas is a huge disappointment.

I have been in the Automotive field for over 40 years as a Mechanic then a Service Director and a Automotive reviewer - this tire handles great in rain , the most forgiving harsh pot hole ride, and by far the quietest ride, I had Michelins on my latest sedan and they were pretty quiet but these ComfotDrive's tires are 8 decibel lower when comparing a tires with 5-6,000 miles on them with my meter .I will see how they are in the snow this winter - they should be good because they have the deepest grooves/ tread of any all-season out there .I will update after this winter season.

After 35k miles on a Subaru Forester these tires are trash. Almost no tread remaining and yes, they've been rotated. Driven 100% on paved roads. Curious to see what the dealer says tomorrow when I call them.
