Not what they used to be.

Too salty. You can't even taste the sweetness in the meat. I even tried the same brand in the 5 lb box and that was the same. Salt draws liquid so you get more liquid per pound than without.

Just pass on this.

My package cost $21.98. I have been eating/preparing snow crab for 50 years. I saw it had a couple of really bad reviews but I decided that I would give it a try. Please believe me when I say this is the worst snow crab I have ever eaten in my life and I followed the directions to the T and I am not new at this. They were purchased this afternoon, stored in my freezer, and cooked for dinner tonight. They were incredibly salty. I had 2 clusters and I don't think I even got 1/4 a cup of crab out of all of it. My husband had the same experience. The crab seemed old or dry and pithy. It lacked in flavor, what there was of it. If I could give it a negative rating I would. Save your money.

we buy these every holiday for our Seafood boil

We’ve been buying members mark snow crab legs for years whenever we have a seafood boil and every year they’ve always been awesome with nice big legs and claws lots of meat sweet and mild. I recommended them to everyone all the time. This year I bought 12 pounds for a seafood boil. Out of the six, 2-pound bags, Five of the bags were bad with hardly no crab and what was there were undersized skinny legs, scarce, small and undersized claws and they just weren’t the normal healthy color. As soon as I removed them from the bag I knew I had a problem. I thought maybe it was just a bad crab season but the one bag looked great with nice thick parts, great size and a much healthier color And looked more like what the crabs normally look like when we bought them over the years. But it was too late, once opened to prepare with guests arriving so we cooked them all. Just as I expected people reached for the one good size batch And there was a lot of the rest left over with guests saying they were so small they couldn’t get any meat out and the meat they did get wasnt as sweet as usual. They were pretty much tasteless. This was a huge disappointment this time and made me think I’m going to have to make a decision for the next seafood boil we do as I’m not sure I would buy them again. Or if I just chalk it up to a bad crab batch and season and try again. It was a seafood boil with $$250.00 worth of crab as the main dish and it was a huge disappointment and big loss. I’m not sure if there’s any guarantee on them or how I could prove how bad they were, so I guess I take the loss. (Too bad the bags arent clear to see what you are getting to have a choice when buying them.)
