Fantastic tires

This is the first set of Michelin tires I have purchased and I am so pleased with the way they handle. I have not experienced any traction problems and the vehicle handles like it's on rails. I can't believe how quiet they are on all different road surfaces. Very pleased with all aspects regarding the operation of these tires. I will definitely keep this model of tires on my vehicles as long as they are available.

Not for Wet Snow

I'm using Michelin CrossClimate 2 in size 235/65 R17 on an Audi Q5 quattro (SUV). Overall, the tire performs very well in dry conditions and also handles regular rain without any issues. For everyday driving on wet or dry asphalt, the stability and comfort are good. However, the tire shows serious limitations as soon as there is wet snow or slush on the road, especially around +2°C. Braking performance becomes very weak, and the car tends to slide forward even at low speeds, around 15–30 km/h. In these conditions, the tire simply cannot provide sufficient grip, and stopping distances become dangerously long. Because of this, I was forced to purchase a new set of proper winter tires, as continuing to drive with the CrossClimate 2 in these conditions poses a real risk of an accident and serious danger. A similar issue appears when the road is only slightly damp after light rain during colder autumn/winter days — braking and stopping distances noticeably increase, even when driving slowly. Conclusion: Excellent tire for dry, wet, and mild winter conditions, but not reliable in slush, wet snow, or low temperatures. If you live in an area where wet snow is common, this tire may not be a safe choice during winter.

Best tires we know of

These are the third set of tires we have purchased now for three different vehicles. Our ambient temperatures range from -45F to 95F and road conditions from near perfect to dense water, freezing rain and compacted snow and ice. These tires out perform any other brands and models we have tried over 50 years of driving as well as commercial driving.

These men know about tires!

Tucker tire “technicians”, are all professionals! Their recommendations were on point, they were able to answer all of my questions/concerns honestly! They were not encouraging me, to spend more than I needed to, on tires or other services! Thank you!

Well surprised the performance of the cross climat

Was looking for the Michelin hydro edge for my climate in the south east. Some guided me to these due to the discontinued hydro edge. I like em. The cross climate is a good performer in the south east. The roads it navigates me on are bumpy and could be reserfaced. The tires hold up well considering the terrain. Do tend to enjoy the Michelin brand and some loyalty is consistent. The compounds in the Brands choice as well as design are desired for traction and safety and then for endurance and longevity. I drive a lighter weight vehicle and do enjoy the performance of these tires. Running a 4 tire directional rotation and do have a fifth full size rim with a non directional tire for emergency use.

Great Product

Just had them installed, wow what a difference from previous tires. Very smooth, quiet and definitely a handle ing improvement as well. Can't wait to drive them in snow or rain but expect the same. Only issue is trying to get them registered for the Michelin Promise Plan (like my other Michelin purchase a couple years ago) as dealer did not do it?

worth the price

I have had ECOPIA Bridgestone tires which are really bad, after doing a lot of research I ended up going for these. I know they are bit expensive , bit man these are really good . My stopping distance was struggling on my older tires. however these have really good traction especially during rain ( we have a lot of it where I live). I learned the hard way that investing in tires is a no brainer, so I understand they are expensive , make noise on the highway ( I didn't notice a difference my self compared to my ECOPIA tires), but your safety is the most important thing, especially in wet condition.

Even with a defect, they're still the best tires I've ever owned

I drove about 40k on these in North Carolina on an Acura MDX. Acura found all 4 tires had separated at the bead, requiring all all-new set of tires. What did I replace them with? The same tire--because despite the defect, they're the best tires I've ever run on this car. Wet/snow/ice/dry traction is unbeatable. They have a premium look to them, too. Michelin stood by their product and made it clear that they accepted responsibility for the defect--which I think was just a fluke. I'm beyond pleased with these tires

Highly recommend!

These tires are incredible. I was very hesitant to put these on my car due to it being sporty and was a little worried once they were installed. After some time driving, I've come to fall in love with these tires. My first experience in the snow was eye opening with how well they performed. HIGHLY recommend!

Cross Climate 2

My CC2s have 92,000 miles on them. Current wear pattern is perfect, 4/32 left. A smooth ride still. Road noise is relative to type of road but generally mostly quiet. only issue was a slight hydro plane during moderate rain fall which i experienced from date of purchase. Didn't go over 70mph during rain. 4/5 traction in snowfall. Type of car 2014 bmw wagon 328i xdrive. Michigan /Ohio resident.
