[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are thick, robust and resistant tires...! Even though I just installed them and can't give you mileage or longevity yet, I am impressed with these tires. I have used them for 1 month and we have seen heavy rain, no hydroplaning, snow and ice storms, no slippage and mainly ground grip on hilly descents. They have behaved quite well in the elements. They also run very smooth and quiet, and I feel like my vehicle handles quite well with these tires. I drive frequently so it's only been 1 month but I've already put about 1000 miles on them and have no complaints. I'll add it to my review when I've gotten a little more use out of them and update their performance at that time. So far, so good. If you are looking for a good set, I tell you not to be indecisive, play it safe with Michelin tires, buy these. I am convinced that these tires will prove their worth for a long time... and I will buy again if/when necessary...! There are many tires, many cheaper, but the quality and price of a good tire, you can't go wrong.

I recently purchased a set of these Defender LTX M/S2 tires for my F250. Tire size is LT275/65R18. They replaced a set of off road tires that were loud and made for a harsher than normal ride. I've always been a fan of Michelin tires on my trucks but I think these are the best tires I've ever bought. The change is ride quality and noise is nothing less than remarkable. The ride on my truck is much smoother and now it sounds like the interior of a luxury sedan rather than a truck. The truck pulled very slightly to the right with the old tires but the Michelins solved that problem. They look good, they ride good and they're very quiet on the highway (where my truck is used nearly exclusively). I was reluctant to spend so much for tires but I'm very happy I did. Highly recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Michelin always delivers smooth and long lasting tires! This set is not the exception! I needed something better than what I currently had and they did not disappoint. The only thing that I do not know of course is how long will they last, but as I stated above, with tire rotation they tend to be long lasting. I will update in a year and see where we are at.

Purchased these Defender LTX M/S2 little over a year ago, for my 2015 Chevy Silverado with 65K miles on the odometer. I have experienced all facets of weather conditions with these tires. Tires ride good for HIGHWAY applications. Tires ride good in the rain, but that is where it ends. Tires are very sloppy in the any amount of snow on the road. The tires are inflated to 35-psi, per Manufacture recommendations. The RIDE QUALITY is absolutely HORRIBLE. The tires ride so HARD that you feel EVERY bump and crevice in the road. Great on the HIGHWAY, but that's it. I have been purchasing Michelin products for 40-years and these are the worse I have ever had. I am very meticulous about products I purchase for my vehicles... safety and handling are always in the forefront. BUT RIDE QUALITY suffers greatly for these tires. Never had to give up on ride quality before, WHY NOW? Now my vehicles has rattles I've never had before! Michelin Team, please help!

Got a set on Tahoe with 54000 miles and they still look and perform like the day we bought them. Further more they still got 8-9/32 tread.Michelin in my book are the only tires out there. In the long run they as my uncle says cheapest tire too. They will outlast 2-3 sets of the other name brands.

Not an upgrade for the defender ltx ms. I am very disappointed and feel I wasted money. The outer lugs are closed now which changes their capabilities. The compound doesnt hold as well in water and snow/ice. Maybe you will get more miles and on dry pavement they are decent but that isn't what these tires are supposed to be...and at such a price. I won't purchase these again and will find another brand for next tires. I bought online because I had to finance and trusted michelin to not mess up a great tire...these should have a different name...they do not act like ltx ms....not at all. Very disappointed.

They are seriously great quality and I plan on them lasting a while for me. Thick, not dense & they look really good also! My husband is now purchasing these for his own truck he likes them so much! My SUV is in the shop currently with some recall getting that taken care of, so don’t have a picture of them on my car..BUT I highly recommend

The Michelin Defender had everything I was looking for in a set of new wheels. The tires are very well made, strong and sturdy and most importantly, they make me feel safe on the road. These tires provide a smooth ride on the highway and are rugged enough for our back country roads. The tread wear life is impressive and I feel for the life and wear and tear of these tires, that they are a good investment. I like the deep tread pattern and noticed during the rainstorm that the tires gripped the road and they are weather proofed very well. I felt safe during all of my recent commutes.
