You can tell when a diaper is full because it will puff up. The size three fits my four month old perfectly. I love that they can easily fit in my diaper bag. The important part is you should fan out the leg area so that it prevents any leaks. As far as noise goes, I really don't notice it when my baby is wearing the diaper. The tabs aren't very stretchy so it will be challenging to get that custom fit for your baby. It's also very thin, which is fine because most little ones in Size 1 don't need a massive diaper, but I'm more concerned about leaks. I'll stick to the ones I'm comfortable with.
