GREAT IN RAIN, BUT DON'T GET STATED MILEAGE

This is not my 1st set of these tires on present and previous Tahoe's and while great on wet roads this set of 4 tires is wearing the worst of all previous sets. The dealer rotates the tires every 5000 miles and they are all wearing evenly from outside edges to center of the tires. However with 50,000 miles there is no way I will be able to run these tires for the length of the stated and advertised warranty of 70,000 miles. All previous sets went the full 70,000 miles but not these. I have been told by some tire dealers that Michelin was sold just before I purchased these tires and the rubber is not the same compound as previous LTX M/S2. Considering the premium price these tires cost, I will need to consider other brands for the next purchase.

We understand the Defender LTX M/S tires on your Tahoe did not meet your expectation in terms of mileage. A member of our Consumer Care team will be in contact with you. You may also reach our office at 1-866-866-6605.

These are the second set ...

These are the second set of 235 R 16 LTX MS tires. The first set lasted 70,000 miles. The tires ride, road noise, and overall performance are excellent for a truck tire. When it comes time to purchase tires for our other 2 vehicles, we will buy Michelin.

Last Christmas we drove ...

Last Christmas we drove from Dallas to Abilene in a blinding blizzard. It tool us 13 hours versus a normal 3 hours. We encountered blowing, drifting snow and extreme icy conditions. The ruts on the interstate were 4 to 6 inches and on stretches the ice was more than a little slick. We had NO problems with traction and made it through places that even big rigs with chains were having problems. The combination of these tires and our Honda Ridgeline are remarkable and I would definatley buy them again. Thanks Michelin Man.

Excellent ride, but.......................

I have 30k on these tires and they wore abnormally down the middle, despite keeping proper air pressure and rotating them. The original LTX M/S2 tires were the best tire I ever owned and what made me a Michelin customer. These new Defenders may look like the old design, but are clearly inferior.

GET MORE THAN YOUR MONEY'S WORTH !!

Great value! The ride is phenomenal! Safety and braking are very good. Peace of mind having my family members ride on these tires. Best of all.....the wear life is incredible with proper balancing and rotations! In today's world it is nice to find a value for your money. Thanks Michelin!

GREAT TIRES

Michelin in my opion are THE BEST TIRE on the market. Have had them on all my vehicles. Replaced the set on my GMC Pick/up (daily driver) after 75,000 + miles with a new set of Michelins, and put the old set on the farm Pick/up last year. Also have them on the Wife's Yukon and they have 60,000 + miles on them and still have plenty of tread left. You won't get that kind of ware out any of your competitors!

I have run these tires on ...

I have run these tires on Ford, Chevy and Dodge trucks for over 15 years, always try to replace my factory tires with them, haven't found another tire manufacturer who can provide as good a tire and the mileage life as the LTX M/S. Being in outside sales I drive close to 50K miles a year with a mix of city and highway. I typically get 80K miles on a set with even wear down to the end with regular balance & rotation every 5K miles, lucky to get 50K miles on any others.

Best tires I've ever had

i bought 2 245/65 17 Defender M/S tires to replace the ones i had on my pickup. I had at least 70,000 miles on the old ones. With the new Defenders my ride has been excellent and I expect the wear will be the same as the old ones. Alignment has been completed regularly and rotated ever 5000 miles.

Great Tires!!

This is my 2nd set of Defender LTX M/S tires for my 2008 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab. I'm surprised to read that the latest reviews all comment about the road noise! One of the reasons I love these tires is because they are very quite!!! I've never had any road noise with either set of tires. I used to work out of state and had to make a 350 mile round trip each week. My first set held up so well that I basically had to replace them due to dry rot from age and not from wear. They work well in the rain and don't hydroplane easily.
