We apologize your chair slat broke. The reason you are unable to purchase an individual slat is because we receive the parts pre-assembled. So, even if we needed a single slat, we would have to use the entire chair seat or chair back assembly to fix the chair. We know it is inconvenient, but unfortunately that is how this product has to be handled. We apologize again for the inconvenience.
