We needed shade from the hot, late afternoon sun on our new porch but didn't wish to spend $$$ on a pergola, or something like it. We saw this wonderful adjustable umbrella on display and we slapped our foreheads with a duh! Such a simple solution to a hot problem. The umbrella can be rolled about to create shade where desired. The ‘tilt' function is so simple. You simply continue turning the crank after the umbrella is fully open and it automatically tilts. Good value and awesome color.

My weak wrist has no problem opening and closing this shade. This umbrella is constructed very well and has an automatic tilt that is so simple to adjust its angle. I see this umbrella shade giving us may years of use...... PS.... very attractive as well.....Css

This an upgrade to the patio umbrella we had for the past six years. It's awesome. it covers a larger range, and the UV resistant is outstanding however it needs a good patio table to support it so that it doesn't fall when it gets very windy. I'm not sure if it will do well on it's own without any support. We usually don't sit out on the patio for morning coffee on the weekends, after June, but this umbrella creates a wonderful shade that protects us from the scorching heat. I have not missed a Sunday morning coffee on the patio since the weather became warm, except when I'm working. I gave this umbrella four stars because, Sams's did not tell buyers it didn't include the stand. The umbrella is a good buy, the price is good, and by the way the stand is cheaper and stronger compared to others sites. I wish Sam's had told us it did not include the stand, because I observed a lot of buyers assumed like I did that it comes with the stand. We have had it for a month, and it has been a delight compared to the old one.

Very sturdy & great price on sale, quick delivery. First time purchasing ‘Sunbrella' fabric- curious to see how it holds up in the shore area sun. Tilt mechanism is thru the crank rather than push button at top of center pole which helps. Originally bought 2, just ordered another pair!

We purchased four orange umbrellas about 7 years ago from Sams Club. We've used them in the desert year round, closing them in high winds and storing in the garage some. The color is still vibrant and they are still functional. We decided to add two more, as they've served us well.

I bought this patio umbrella to replace the patio Tan market umbrella I bough my from Sams 10 years ago that unfortunately broke during an unexpected wind storm when out of town. I absolutely loved the original umbrell and excited to see Sams still sold the same size/style. The only difference is This one is sunbrella fabric and slightly flimsy compared to my first Sams club market patio umbrella. I'm hoping however because it is Sunbrella fabric, and since I got red, the color won't fade once summer comes.

Love this umbrella! Bought a blue one last spring and after being out next to a salt water pool in the Texas sun it still looks brand new! Just bought a second one to go over our dining table. After years of buying cheaper umbrellas, I got tired of replacing them year after year and adding to the landfill.

Not the same heavy-duty quality as those from previous years, unfortunately. Neither in fabric weight or metal framing. BUT great color selection -- the gray goes perfectly with new ext. house paint colors, as does the black pole instead of the older bronze. And cannot beat the price for the quality or prompt delivery & service (exchanged the orange color for gray). Hoping they last many years as did my Member's Mark! I've recommended them to many friends & family, no one disappointed yet! :D

This is a very nice looking and high quality umbrella. The fabric is perfect, bright, and just slightly translucent. It opens and closes smoothly and the tie straps are adequate. To tilt the umbrella, you continue turning the raise handle as there is no separate tilt mechanism. The reason for the four stars is I worry that the raising lanyard is made from synthetic fiber cord instead of wire. There is a lot of tension on this cord when tilting the umbrella and my concern is the lifespan of the cord. This is a great value for the money.

This is our second time to purchase these umbrellas. Our first set lasted 5 years all year long use. We purchased a similar umbrella from another warehouse club but the fabric is screwed into the frame. On thr Member's mark the frame slips into pockets which is a better design.
