Customer reviews for BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 - LT315/70R17C 113T Tire forBF Goodrich KO and KO2 best snow tire hands down
I have gotten 40K on the last set of KO's and now KO2 tires. It's the only tire I will run on my truck. I've had them on a 1979, 1999, 2005, 2015 GMC Sierra, currently on a 2013 Hennessy Velociraptor and have never been stuck once in snow or Ice. Living in the PNW, we get our fair share of wet weather. Great in rain and mud as well. a must have if you want the best traction available in a non-studded tire.
The Only Tire I will Ever Run on my 4WD vehicles.
I’ve always bought BFGs. Always. I’ve never been let down by them. I explore and live in places where that means something. That piece of mind that is provided is paramount. Don’t mess around with comparisons and go with the standard barer. I’ve been in vehicles with so-called “competitor” brand tires. Those tires let me down. The evidence is clear to me. Drive BFGs and arrive home safely. Just remember to do routine maintenance and repairs to your vehicle and rotate your tires. Also, air down when necessary; I’ve never needed to, but, it does improve the ride and life of the tires (assuming you air up afterwards). Enjoy! *Read the label inside your door detailing the correct tire pressure to ensure that your are running the right tires for your vehicle.
Used to be quality tires.
Quality of the these tires seems to have gone down. Every 1000-2000 miles the tires need to be rebalanced. Sometimes by road force sometimes by standard spin balancing. Previous sets of tires have been great never requiring rebalance after initial install. Not sure what has changed with this set I purchased in November of 2023. This does make me question if I want to buy any Bfgoodrich tires in the future when I need a new set. I have noticed this set does not have as good of traction in the rain as I was used to with the KO 2's.

never again
I only have 20 thousand miles on the tires and they are wore out I have a 2016 f250 I had my tire dealer check my truck out and there is no issue with my truck .Bf goodrich will only give me 43 percent rebate on the tire not acceptable .I won't even bother putting a nother set on I'll pay full price for a better tires
Buyer beware
Horrible vibration.... bfg is having problems with these tires. The belts are giving problems and they can't seem to get the rubber compound right. So unless you want to throw away a couple grand I would look elsewhere. I've had 3 sets under warranty and the local tire store won't even sell them anymore.
Sidewall Failure
This is my 8th set of BFG KO2s on my personal rigs, and I run a fleet of 23 trucks at work with them. The latest set I purchased for my personal truck exactly one year ago. Everysingle tire is cracking on the side wall in a radial pattern. These are not weathering cracks or old tires. These cracks are thick enough to stick a quarter in them. Between all four tires there are 69 cracks in the side walls of my tires in a perfectly radial pattern. These tires were made January of 2023.
LE, sorry to read that you are experiencing this. Present your vehicle to an authorized BFGoodrich retailer for an inspection of the tires. Ask the dealer to call us with their findings at 866-866-6605 while you are there, so that we can determine how to proceed.
Don't let the price turn you away
Purchased and had installed 4 new KO2's a few months ago on my 09 F150. We had our first snow storm hit southwest VA and the east coast this past weekend and super cold temps. I was reluctant to purchase the tires because of the price. It was worth every penny, the tires way out performed my expectations. We were able to pull people out of ditches and there wasn't a single icy hill or un-plowed driveway that we couldn't go up or come down. I was overly impressed with the traction and control I had. very rarely did I even need 4 wheel drive. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.
Great all around tire.
I have had BFG KO2s on the last 3 vehicles I have owned. Great all around tire. I rotate them every 5k miles. Current set has 49k miles on a 2022 Suburban Z71 and have PLENTY of tread life left. Will buy another set when I finally wear these out.
Great in high water, very good thread pattern.
I bought my k02s approximately six years ago, and still love them, great in high water, or mud, but the reason I bought them in the first place is their look, seems no other company makes a tire with solid white letter anymore, for this reason alone,I will purchase BFG KO2s again .. thank you
Better than Original BFG AT
First off, awesome tire. I have been very impressed with the ride quality, wear, and handling of these tires. I had them installed on a 2012 F150 King Ranch and they replaced the stock tire. Size is LT275/65/20. Typically drive about 3000k a month, mostly interstate or highway. Also frequently used off road on hunting property access roads, power lines, and fields. I used to have the original BFG AT KO's and wasn't too sure about purchasing the AT KO2's. After a few thousand miles I have come to realize it was the best tire purchase I've made. I will summarize my thoughts on each category: Look - Didn't know if I liked the aggressive sidewall look at first because it didn't look "clean" to me but honestly the look has grown on me. After all this isn't a passenger car tire! Ride - If you've ever had premium tires (G-Year, Michelin) then you know what a difference they make over knock offs. This is my second set of BFG AT's (KO2 this time) and these tires ride as good as or better than the stock Michelin's that came on my truck. The ride is actually less harsh than before and absorbs all kinds of potholes, bumps, and road wear with a soft feel. There is no more abruptness to the ride of my truck anymore which is surprising due to the E Load rating. Most E tires I have had in the past were much stiffer and felt like riding a dump truck due to the bouncing around. Not the case here. Also there is no shake or vibration in the wheels which is important to me as I spend a lot of time both in the woods and on the interstate. Noise - Honestly this part of the tire is a huge difference than the previous BFG AT's and one of the biggest upgrades in the design and quality that must have been made. I've had plenty of experiences with the MT K02's which were fairly loud if you didn't rotate them, and other all terrians that you heard hum down the road. My opinion is that the road noise is so minimal I did not notice any difference in going from a road tire to the all terrains. Towards the end of the rotating cycle you can hear a soft hum as you cruise down the road in lower speeds with the windows down. However I can't hear them with the windows up and have no problem talking on speakerphone while driving at any speed. I rotate every other tire change (so every 8000 miles). Handling - This tire has done very well in every condition I have been in. A few examples: - In my state, we have terrible roads and therefore when it rains the roads are very dangerous because of hydroplaning. I actually bought new tires (this tire) after almost losing control on the interstate from hydroplaning. Have not had that issue since and never felt a loss of control with these tires. - Off road: These tires go well in all muddy situations from rain soaked farm soil to damp clay. This tire (or any really) isn't the best with dryer or very wet clay as it will just cake into the tread. I haven't had that happen with these tires as they are pretty self cleaning in most conditions. - Did not slip on very steep and very slick boat ramp pulling a 7000lb boat out of the water in 2wd. - Never tested in snow as we rarely get any! Cons / Considerations I haven't had many issues with this tire but I bought it knowing what to expect. A lot of the negative points people make (about any item) are due to having different expectations or a lack of knowledge of the product and usually a combination of both. This review is about an All Terrain tire, with aggressive tread and is heavy, and has an E load rating. Knowing these facts are critical in basing an opinion before providing negative feedback. That being said here are mine: - The tires themselves are hard to clean around the edge due to sidewall tread pattern. Mud likes to stay in the little grooves. This is being picky but that mud is hard to get out without a decent scrub. - I rotate every 7.5k to 8k miles which is longer than recommended 5k. That last thousand miles will have a little bit of tire hum. This isn't a negative or a con to me but just something to point out. -If you drive gravel roads a lot and don't like rock dings, be weary of this tire. It loves to pick up gravel and sling it all over the place. This isn't a huge problem for me but if you are buying tires that stick out past fender you will throw them all down the side of your truck. - This isn't' really a negative but I would note fuel MPG did decrease. HOWEVER, I went to a much heavier tire and a bigger tire. I would say while MPG did decrease it was only by 1mpg. These tires are load E range and not necessarily designed to go on 1/2 ton trucks. They are made for the F250's or larger where there is need to have 75psi in the tires. Overall I've been very impressed with the quality of the new BFG AT KO2 and would recommend this tire over the originals. It is quieter, has a better ride, and handles equally as efficient as any all terrain I've driven on. If you ever had the originals, or any other subpar off road tire then do yourself a favor and purchase these. You get what you pay for and more.
