A few years ago, I purchased this item. Then I purchased more. It was wonderful. The ice and snow were melting as I was sprinkling it on my steps and driveway, This year I purchased what I thought was the same product. It was not! I sprinkled it on the steps and driveway as usual. This morning the granules and snow and ice were solid on the steps. The temp was 20 degrees. I thought that only the lid was changed. The product isn't nearly as effective as was as few years ago.

This ice melter works exactly as described, melting snow and ice quickly, and continuing to do so for new snowfalls for a day or after it's applied. So far it's also done no harm to my concrete, and hasn't "caked" in its container. And the Sam's Club price was much lower than for the same product sold elsewhere. I'm very happy!

Good price for calcium chloride ice melt. Usually lasts me several years in my area when winter is normal, not like this one has been.
