I love this toaster one wide long slot that accommodates two slices of bread or bagel or even hand cut artisan bread. Taost everything to a golden brown without drying it out. So toast comes out perfect. Only issue is the spring is a little strong so you may have a piece of toast fly onto the counter from time to time but it is worth it.

I think this toaster looks great and is easier to clean than the average toaster. but I don't feel like it puts out much heat or does much toasting. I mean it'll get the job done but it takes a lot longer and things just don't seem as toasted. overall fine, just not great

just watched cooks country on pbs..their test kitchen tested and reviewed toasters!..guess which toaster(in black) out of all toasters,prices up in the hundreds of $$, came out SECOND for the best in all ?!YEP! this dash toaster! and..a little more money than for my order, which is due , in red, to me tomorrow!!this guy really is a winner...so glad i chose, and also was lucky (i dvr)to see the review on pbs..p.s...they reviewed others that had flying toast..on a couple reviews for this guy on SAMS.. reviews had same, but not on the pbs testing..yea!!

After my 12 year old Breville finally gave up I went in search of a new toaster. I previewed several prospects and have discovered that buying a new toaster is not at all an easy task. Toasters run the gamete from cheap to super expensive and have several features such as defrost, bagel and reheat, etc. Paying more does not guarantee better performance. Seems most new toaster can not "toast" bread! They either don't toast, burn your bread, toast unevenly, and are not consistent. Ran across the Dash ClearView and found it to have the features I wanted...wide and long slots (1.5 x 10.5) defrost, bagel and reheat functions and a very cool see through window. My Mother had a glass front see through toaster back in the early 80's Don't re,ember the brand and don't see anything like it. Thought I would give the Dash a try and glad I did. My search is over! Toasts perfectly, and is consistant! Ran some tests with white, multigrain bread and English muffins and they were perfect. I like my toast on the lighter side and found the #4 to 4.5 setting to be perfect and the shade matches the illustration in the Dash user manual. DO NOT believe the negative reviews! As far as the "launching" of the toast out of the toaster, I had no such issue. And with the lever not latching and staying down it is "user error" The inner removable glass has a safety switch on the right side of the glass channel if glass is not properly reinserted and switch not engaged, circuit will not complete and toaster will not function. Dash has included an additional instruction sheet describing this. Also, this toaster uses quartz heating tubes, not nichrome ribbon wire. Quartz tubes are more even heating and are more durable than nichrome wire. The only other toaster i have ever seen with quartz tubes was a Krups, and I believe they are no longer made. Bottom line, this toaster does what a toaster should do! Buy it. You will be happy.

Having a window into your toaster and being able to stop if it starts browning too quickly is one of those things you always wanted but didn’t know existed. This buttons and knobs are great. Easy cancel button and large, easy to use and see knobs. I really think that this is a great toaster. Quickly toaster your favorite toaster. Easily fits on most counters & I love the side be side length size design over stacked ones.

It takes up more than the width of a 4 slice toaster but it’s only 2 slices. You can check the toast through the looking glass as it toasts but after you know your setting the first time, who really does this? It works well and is nicely built, it’s just not for me.

Seriously I've owned a lot of toasters in my life but none of them are as good as the dash Clear View toaster. It toast bread Bagels English muffins or whatever you want to perfection and what's even better is you can see it and if you want it to pop up early all you have to do is push the button in the center of the dial. I love the bagel setting because I only want the cut side to toast and now I can have it the way I like it. Don't even think twice just order this believe me you'll never be sorry you did.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the clear view but even more so I like the profile. It fits well with my kitchen setup better than a standard side by side. Toast level wasn’t too intense and just right by me. Excellent bagels toasted right in front of your eyes.

I like the clear feature so that I am able to make sure my toast is cooked how I want it. My toddler gets a kick out of watching it too! There are so many customizable features. Highly recommend this toaster!

I loved this toaster, but as with all products these days, nothing holds up over time. I'm not sure how long I've had this toaster. I've used it often, the bread tray became unlevel and now only half the bread gets toasted. I liked this toaster so much, I'm buying another one. For the price, I feel it's worth it.
