Old watch ended up breaking, wal mart came through and got me in great and affordable watch

I feel like the watch that I received was already opened before I got a chance to open it, it was not sealed properly and the paper that protects the watch itself was already broken. Also the band that was given to me was for series 9. Can I get a replacement? This is a gift for my dad.
