Picked this cake up yesterday from the Fridley Sam’s and it is not good. I’m glad I didn’t buy it for a special event or I would have embarrassed myself serving this. I purchased it in a chocolate cake and it tastes like it was made by someone who has never tasted chocolate before. Granted they’re probably pre made but it had more of a molasses flavor to it with a faint hint of chocolate. The cake was also quite dry to the point where I cut a slice out of it and 2hrs later the cake split apart from the are I had cut right down the rest of the cake. I don’t know if old cake is a thing but it truly just tastes dusty. I was really looking forward to this cake for my anniversary but oh well.

The main reason I picked this cake was the sugar coated top. When I picked it up it didn’t have that and they refused to add it. The red flowers are rock hard and not edible. Very disappointed in the cakes appearance. It tasted fine

This cake was beautiful and just as delicious!! We asked for 3 names to be added and they were perfect. The cake was white and not a bit dry, which can be an issue with that type cake. We always use Sam’s for our cakes!

The cake was very good and moist, the icing was too. But the added sugar springles spread on top of the icing was very annoying and made the icing gritty.

I was able to pickup on time. The cake was beautifully done, just as pictured, it was very tasty and the price was great. What more can you ask for?

Cake was white with very little filling between the layers. Probably would have been better with more filling between the layers which would have made up for some of the dryness.

Beautifully decorated. Cake itself was somewhat dry but tasty. The disappointment was the roses were not edible - they were very hard and could not even be cut. Cake is very large - we easily served 10 and had a great deal left over.

A beautiful and tasty cake that came in a horrible box. The cardboard box wouldn't fit in the refrigerator, so we had to take the cake out. It got dried out. Would like to have the old plastic container back.
