I recently received a bag of Kingsford charcoal and would.like to tell you about it! These new High Heat briquettes were easy to start and quick to bring up to temperature. Average cook time for our steaks was around nine minutes. The briquettes last a few hours, plenty of time for our cooking needs! Kingsford is a well-known brand with a good reputation and a high degree of quality control with their products. Highly recommend!!

They last a long time. I recommend lighting them in a chimney starter instead of using lighter fluid, in order to reduce any flavor affecting your food.

Our first try, we failed to take into account the high heat factor, but second use was great. Produced a good sear without drying meat.
