Excellent Tires

I have purchased at least five sets of the ContiProContacts for the three vehicles (E350, CLS550 and BMW 330xi (run flats) over the past 6 years. Really pleased with all aspects of the tire's performance characteristics. The only downside is the tires will flat spot when the vehicles sit idle for a few days, especially in the cold. After a few miles of driving no issues. Will purchase again.

Wouldn't buy any other tire!

I drive a E350 Mercedes Sport, the ride & handling is great, rain, snow or sunshine. They are quiet tire with great road grip. For example: Traveling on the highway at 80 MPH in the high speed lane, two cars ahead of me hit the Jersey Barrier, bounce across the lanes, hit the guard rail in the breakdown lane and bounce back across the highway, I was able to maneuver around the situation, avoiding a costly accident. Enough said.

Great tire

We have these on our Honda Fit and I just put these on my Kia Rio5dr... this is the Kia's first set of tires since the vehicle was new. These tires have a superior ride, great traction and great braking. Seems a little more road noise from road defects but it absorbes the feel so I don't mind a slight increase in cabin noise.

Excellent all around tire.

Have put a couple of thousand miles on these tires. I find they handle very well in occasions of rain on the road in puddles or just wet. Through the mountains they handle the curves very well even when pushed hard. The tires have stopped well in all conditions. Waiting to see how they do if we have snow this year. Enjoying the handling and performance of these tires. Some road noise on rough pavement, but i think to be expected.

Love these tires!

Bought my 2012 Subaru Outback in Oct 2011 and it came with Continental ContiProContact tires. Dealer rotates them with every oil change and I currently have 109,300 miles on them. I live in Northeast Wisconsin and drive a lot of highway miles but have never gotten over 70,000 on a set of tires. I love them! Plan to replace them before winter with the same ones.....going for another 100k!

Best Tires Ever!

These tires came standard on my Subaru Outback, which I bought new in 2013. After 77,000 miles, they're still in good shape. Have never had a problem. I've rotated them a few times and keep them properly inflated. Great tires. Guess I've gotta break down and buy new ones soon. I wouldn't buy any other tire!

Sidewall technology saved me from a crash

ContiProContacts came on my 2018 Civic Sport. Casual driving and treads lasted 40K miles over 7 years with only occasional rotations. HOWEVER, the sidewall technology saved my bacon yesterday. Years ago I slammed into a pothole on the highway and although I didn't crack the wheel I probably caused some tire damage. The other day I noticed a bubble on the sidewall. But I continued to drive and planned to replace the all the tires in a few days as the treads were getting low. However, on the highway at 70MPH the Front Right sidewall blew out. I was able to safely navigate 1/4 mile or so to a safe spot on the shoulder to do a tire change. There was smoke pouring out of the hole BUT the sidewall held up and I didn't ruin my wheel. Based on the experience I decided to put 4 new ContiProContacts on the car. Downsides are I think they are noisy for a Civic (which doesn't have much insulation) and they are not good in snow.

Excellent Tires

I have purchased ContiProContact tires many times for three cars in the family over the past several years. They perform very well in dry, wet and snow conditions; have a pretty good wear life. The only downsides are they tend to flat spot quickly especially in cold temps which is somewhat annoying and after extended wear they get a little loud even when rotated frequently. Still I am pleased with the tire.

Good tires but had to replace them 8 months in

I had the tires for 8 months when I hit a pot hole. unfortunately it caused a hold in the side of the front left tire. I took it to tires plus to see if I was covered by my warranty and unfortunately I wasn't. to make matters worse I have a awd car and was told I would need 4 new tires when I only had about 13k miles on them. I ended up getting some coopers and I have had any problems so far. The road nose, comfort, and fuel economy were Excellent. Just poor tread life.

Disappointed

Our 2014 Accord has 50K miles and the dealer says the tires need to be replaced. The tires have been rotated every oil change so I can't figure out why they didn't last 60K miles as expected. The dealer wants to replace with the same tires but I'm going to shop around.

Thank you for providing a review of our tires. There are many factors that contribute to the wear of your tires. Because driving habits and conditions vary it is impossible to predict the exact life of any set of tires. As for the wear and a recommendation to replace the tires, most dealers will recommend replacement at a measurement of 3/32" - 5/32" of unusable tread remaining, which equals 11% - 33% tread remaining. The usable tread is down to 2/32" of tread remaining, so we recommend obtaining the actual tread depths across the face of the tires in order to confirm if this is just a service recommendation or if replacement is required.
