The tire adds great stability to the vehicle and has excellent traction. Regardless of being off-road, taking corners at full speed, towing, or driving in snow and ice... it does great. The only downsides are comfort and fuel efficiency. The ride is stiff on bare pavement (where I spend most of my time) and my fuel mileage dropped 1 to 2 MPG compared to having Rugged Trail T/A tires. My vehicle is a 2007 Toyota Tacoma TRD Crew Cab with short bed.

Have had KO BFGs forever. Life has gotten progressively shorter and now this new version is out with ostensibly better snow performance. Unfortunately they are as noisy as cheap mud grips and do not have same solid dry road feel. I will likely never again by BFG. These are junk am changing to Coopers after 1000 miles. Another example of brand degradation!

I first encountered the KO fitted new to a 1989 Nissan Safari 4x4 fresh off the boat as a used Japanese import in 1999. 290,000 km later I am on my 3rd set of KOs. Also I am running them on my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have never been stuck in mud or snow and have only ever had one puncture. The wear is amazing, 80 to 100,000 km from new down to 3mm tread depth. I find them a quiet running tyre but they do get a bit noisy when the tread wears down below 5-6mm. In short, I love 'em! I can't justify using Mud Terrains because I seldom require anything that aggressive. I'm just a bit annoyed that I can't get a set of KOs in 225-60R18 for my wife's 2011 Suzuki Grand Vitara. Operating conditions: Safari: 265-75R16 on 8" rims. (Australian Spec)* Jeep: 255-70R16 on standard rims (Standard Spec) * Note: Australian spec actually specifies 265-70 section. I love these tires. Road manners are great and off-road bite is fantastic. The treadlife is not so hot on my 2008 Ram 2500 4x4 with Cummins. I rotate and balance every 5k. I’m at 30k and looking at another set of tires. What a drag! I want another set but my wallet says different. I bet they are great on lighter trucks.

I purchased these tires three years ago and have about 30,000 miles on them now. For the last year I have noticed that these tires are unsafe on anymore this road condition. If I need to stop or take off after any amount of rain the tires skip in lose traction. For any amount of money, I would not recommend these tires for a lightweight truck

If you DONT have a 4wd vehicle AND go off roading then this is NOT the tire for you! If you do this is the best on and off road tire you can get for the money. The sidewalls on this tire are the strongest of any tire on the market and can easily handle the toughest enviroment. If your looking for a good on and off road tire that is quieter then most other tires this is it. If your looking for a quiet tire, Then consider not going off road and getting yourself a street tire. These tires were made for OFF roading using a daily driver type vehicle. If you dont go off road dont buy this tire. The traction for this tire off road as well as in the snow is awesome. Off road tire wear on this tire is better then most other tires. On road tire wear for this tire isnt the best. Do NOT expect more then 30,000 miles out of this tire. Buy this tire if you are going off road often on a vehicle that you also want to drive on road frequently. Again DO NOT buy this tire if you dont go off road for more the. 30% of your total yearly driving.

First used this tire on a 1977 Jeep Cherokee Chief driving from Ft. Bragg, NC to Ft. Richardson, AK and 3 years of spirited and tough Alaska driving. Drove back to Alaska in 1981 in a 1955 Willys Jeep wagon in December and the tires took me through the worst winter could hand out once again. I've since used them on two other Jeeps, a 2001 Cherokee and a 2006 Commander and a 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche, all 4WD vehicles used for hunting, fishing, exploring as well as daily driving. Today they were installed on my 2017 Ram Rebel replacing the original A/T tires which were good highway tires but not good enough on snow and ice. The stock tires handled good but offered no traction off road. I went to discount tire and they recommended the BFG KO2 in (E) load rating. They said it would be a little heavier but would ride a lot better. I got 275/65/18 and they road force balanced the tires. They also checked the run out on the tires and they where .009 which is amazingly good they told me. The 80psi max load tires where aired up to 46psi cold installed on I was on my way. I have to say these are the best riding tires I have ever owned in an AT. I have owned every other brand of tire and the BFG KO2 are by far the best. Now I have only had this tires a short time but the way these tires handle & ride I am already a huge fan. You get what you pay for and these tires are worth it.

I’ve put 38k miles on these so far & they are getting pretty worn out. Will change out at 40k miles. I’ve been running them on my company pickup checking wells for almost a year now. Starting & stopping constantly. Rough washed out lease roads & miles & miles of Oklahoma gravel. I drive roughly 150+ miles a day with most of my time spent on gravel. Tires showed wear fast but then held up very well after initial gravel chips. Wore perfectly even across all 4 tires. Rotated every 5k miles. My pickup weights roughly 8500lbs. Anything over 35k miles checking wells out here is a very good lifespan on any tire I’ve ran. I had very low expectations initially but was pleasantly surprised with the performance

I have been running BFG All Terrain T/A KOs on all my trucks for the past 15yrs. I couldn't have been happier with the quality, traction and life of the tires but was getting tired of the same old look. The new design with the more aggressive side wall and slight change in tread pattern was just what I was looking for. These new tires not only gave my truck a fresh new aggressive look but ride great and seem to be quieter then my old set of T/A KOs. I have no doubt the traction and life of these new tires will match if not out preform my old set. I look forward to getting another set for my 2001 Excursion when its time for replacement.
