So smooth & quality is superb!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These tires are great, they ride so so good and make our small town roads feel like they don’t have a pothole every mile. They are seriously great quality and I plan on them lasting a while for me. Thick, not dense & they look really good also! My husband is now purchasing these for his own truck he likes them so much! My SUV is in the shop currently with some recall getting that taken care of, so don’t have a picture of them on my car..BUT I highly recommend

Nice ride!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I highly recommend these Michelin tires. In January 2024, I replaced tires on my GMC Sierra 1500 with the Michelin Defender tires. I could tell a difference right away. My truck rides smoother, is much quieter, and handles so much better. An added bonus is my improved gas mileage. I will never buy another brand of tires again!

Liked original better

I've run through two sets of the original Defender LTX M/S, and they were nice and smooth. No problems. Now that they're discontinued, went with the M/S2. Two had to be replaced for high road force. They do NOT ride as smooth as the originals. Bounce and shudder. Very disappointed.

Disappointed, we recommend taking your vehicle back to the tire dealer for an inspection of the tires. Ask the retailer to open a warranty claim, Should there be any questions, feel free to give us a call at 866-866-6605 8am-5pm EST Mon-Fri.

Great Tires

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Defender tires were such a great find. They are durable and strong. Also great quality. They look great on the car as well. I am looking forward to these new tires and will feel safe using them when driving my family.

Like the tires so far

Tires are very quiet and smooth running. Any increase or decrease in mileage is yet to be determined. I bought these for extra load rating for towing a 5th wheel trailer. I am at this time experiencing death wobble and I am hoping the tires are not a contributing factor as I only have 19,000 miles on the truck.

Good quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Michelin DEFENDER® LTX M/S 2 from try it sampling. They came right in time for the weather cause my truck was in need of new tires. I feel a lot safer driving around in the rain with these tires. They’re good quality and performance is top tier. I would definitely recommend them.

Great tires but slightly under predecessor

I purchased these tires after 6 years and 30k miles on my Michelin Defender LTX M/S. I was a little leery with the UTQG Traction rating dropping to B from the previous A but with tread life listed similarly and great previous performance, I gave them a shot. I've driven 2,500 miles before posting the review. The M/S2 are fantastic on dry pavement and dissipate water very well. Unfortunately, around 35 F they become noticeably harder and break free much easier on cold or wet pavement compared to the previous M/S. With that, my initial assumption is that they have worse performance but herein lies the paradox. While they don't seem great getting moving and break free easy on acceleration, they seem hold true and stop well once in motion. Snow performance is similar to the aforementioned, but again cornering is fairly steady until acceleration is applied. The truck will still go where it's intended, but with considerably more wheel spin than the previous M/S in 2H. MPG appears to be comparable between the 113T SL M/S and 117T XL M/S2. Both ride quiet and have good feel when braking. They have a good look but not overly aggressive and don't pick up too many rocks. I would 100% recommend these for those who rarely experience snow or cold but would probably stick to swapping these out for Michelin Ice X for the cooler or snow filled months or plan to use full time AWD and the possibility of reduced tread life due to the additional slipping.

Great tires!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the Michelin line of tires since they have always done well for me. These Defender tires are no exception- perfect combination of value and durability. Perfect for what my family requires in the rainy yucky seasons of Louisiana!

Quiet, comfortable and confidence inspiring

I just had these tires and they have excellent ride quality. I switched from Bridgestone Dueler HL tires which only lasted about 32k miles, but they rode very well. With the heft and XL rating of the Michelin tires I was worried that they would ride harder, but those fears were quickly proven wrong. Also, my first time driving on these tires was in the rain and the tires were excellent and confidence inspiring. I love that these also come with an extra 2/32 of tread compared to the standard LTX tire. I purchased the 275/55/r20 113T size tire.
