We were skeptical after reading a couple of reviews citing the use of plastic vs wood and the roughness of the arms, but liked the looks of this chair and ordered one to see for ourselves. The chair was delivered sooner than scheduled, which was a nice surprise, and it was very well boxed and packaged. The chair is beautiful and does not have any of the issues described in some earlier reviews. We liked it so much that we ordered three more. It's a very nice product.

No assembly required

I purchased a pair of these chairs (dark wood, charcoal fabric) from Sams Club after seeing “identical” chairs at a local furniture store for twice the price. I thought I was getting a good deal by choosing the cheaper price and free delivery from Sams Club. The Sams Club Chairs have extremely rough wood, the wood finish on the arms of both chairs are actually rough enough to give you splinters. My children have scratched themselves on the chair arms. I guess you get what you pay for (for reference, the furniture store chairs had a smooth but textured feel to the wood, completely different from the rough wood on Sams chairs). I decided to keep the pair of chairs (after calling Sams Club and getting a ten percent partial refund) and will have my husband sand the rough wood on the arms and try to apply a matching wood stain on them. The price was too good to pass up on returning the chairs. They are sturdy, required no assembly and are fairly comfortable (we have them in our formal Living Room). I would not recommend them to anyone else, but for us they will have to work since they fit our budget and I had been looking for months for this style of chair.

It sits a bit lower, the cushion is lopsided… so for these reasons I will be returning. The sit is comfortable though.

The 1 star rating is strickly not a review. I have not purchased the chair. The 1 star is for the vary limited description abd specifications given for the chair such as construction material, fabric, dimensions, capacity, etc. Some reviews mentionthe chair is not made of wood but of some sort of resin/plastic, that's quite a detail to omit especially for a chair priced over$300. The lack of detailed descriptions makesme opt out of purchasing this chair.

The exterior part of the chair that looks like wood is not wood. It is plastic, painted and made to look like wood. I am very disappointed because the chair is cheaply made of plastic. It is not wood!!!
