This Member's Mark™ infrared heater is a fan-forced heater. Air is warmed over quartz tube elements and fanned into the room. It can take at least 24 hours to warm a room, but the heater operates efficiently to maintain the desired temperature once comfort is established. A slight odor may occur when first opened or turned on due to a special heat-safe, heat-resistant coating; this will dissipate after the break-in period. The temperature display reads the air directly around the heater, so it may vary from other thermostats; the unit will cycle off when the set temperature is met or exceeded slightly.
