About this item

Product details

Whether you're setting up a new home kitchen, updating your current one, or routinely cooking for a larger group, Tramontina's Tri-Ply Clad 14-Piece Stainless Steel Cookware Set is here for you. Professional-grade and compatible with all cooktops, each piece of this cookware set is made with three-layer construction that allows for even heating on all sides. Riveted, ergonomically designed, cast stainless steel handles provide extra support. Tramontina's Tri-Ply Clad cookware collection was created to cover essential cooking tasks in the most demanding kitchens. This set of tri-ply cookware is a great investment for new and experienced cooks alike!

Benefits of cooking with stainless steel

The premium 18/10 stainless steel set of pots and pans features tri-ply-clad construction for even heat distribution from all sides of the pan. In addition, its magnetic stainless-steel exterior is compatible with any professional or household induction cooktop, and provides exceptional cooking performance on conventional gas, electric and ceramic glass cooktops. The stainless steel pans are also oven safe up to 500°F/260°C.

What's included

This set of pots and pans features essential cookware for professional-level performance in any kitchen. This 14-piece stainless steel cookware set includes:

  • 8" Sauté Pan
  • 10" Sauté Pan
  • 12" Sauté Pan
  • 6-Quart Deep Sauté Pan with lid
  • 2-Quart Saucepan with lid
  • 3-Quart Saucepan with lid
  • 5-Quart Dutch Oven with lid
  • 8-Quart Stock Pot with lid
  • Stainless Steel Steamer (fits 3-Quart Saucepan)

Do the handles get hot in the oven?

The stainless steel handles and lids are oven-safe like the pans themselves up to 500°F, but they will get hot. We recommend using pot holders when taking these pans from the oven or handling them on a hot stovetop.

What does 18/10 stainless steel mean?

When talking about stainless steel, 18/8, 18/10 and 18/0 are the three grades given to steel used for food preparation. The first number (18) represents the amount of chromium present and the second number (8, 10 or 0) represents the amount of nickel. So, for this set of Tramontina Tri-Ply Cookware, 18/10 stainless steel stands for 18% chromium and 10% nickel. The tri-ply construction includes an aluminum core to give these heavy-duty pans even heating that distributes across the pans cooking surface without coming into contact with the food.

How do I keep food from sticking to the surface?

Stainless steel is excellent to use when cooking for many reasons, from its long-lasting durability to its nonreactive interiors that deliver efficient searing. But if you're new to cooking with stainless steel, here are some tips to keep food from sticking to the pans:

Defrost your food before cooking as cold food tends to stick more than room temperature food.

Preheat the pan on medium heat for a couple minutes before cooking.

Cook with a little oil or butter.

Let your food cook before turning.

Turn the heat down after placing your food in the pan. The aluminum core of the pans retain the heat, so the pans never need to be turned up to high and once food is placed you can reduce the heat to medium or medium low to avoid burning your food.

Love my new Tramontina Pans!

I've had my new cookware for a few weeks now and I love them!. After reading reviews online I was a little worried about buying them but after following recommended suggestions to heat up pan first, then add oil, butter or whatever you are using then keeping temperature set to around 4 or five I have had no issues with cleaning the pans . I did buy Bar Keeper's Friend to use to clean pans which puts the shine back in the pan if any discoloration at all. If anything does stick, I put hot water in pan and let it soak for a few minutes and no issues at all. I do think it takes a little adjusting to use these pans as I have to be more patient for them to heat up first, but have been very happy with results. Would buy again!

Lower cost All-Clad alternative

I really love All-Clad for it's tri ply design. This brand offers a good alternative. This one has the tri ply along bottom and sides like All Clad and offers a mirror stainless finish. If you do your research, an article I found did a comparison and the only feature where this line wasn't equal to All Clad was in the time it takes for the pan to cool down when you adjust the heat lower. For the cost savings, I think it is a good choice, plus, it has metal, not glass lids.

Perfection!

I am very pleased with this set of cookware. It replaces a similar set of Cuisinart that had served me well for many years but didn’t work with my new induction cooktop. These pans are beautifully shaped, super shiny, heavier than my previous ones, and the additional stainless steel makes them perfect for induction. And the price was superb! In researching this brand, I found the same set offered elsewhere for over $700, so am more than satisfied. They are about as perfect as they can get!
