Hurricane Necessary

Living in hurricane state, we lose power often. We depend on these flashlights for the kids especially. Having their own means a lot to the little ones. This is second time I purchased. My wife and I walk at night. These lights are perfect for that because we can use the dim setting and conserve battery life and high to check out wildlife, including the occasional snake. They do get a little hot on the high setting.

Nice and bright but HOT!

So far so good. Much brighter than previous similar but different brand compact LED flashlights. The one thing I noticed though is that they get real hot to the touch when kept on for an extended period of time. I mean hot, not just warm even if not burning hot. This could lead to faster battery drainage and worst, LED light early failure.
