Easy Cleaning and Maintenance

All Sunbrella® fabrics are engineered to combine the highest level of design and performance. For easy day-to-day maintenance, brush off loose dirt and prepare a solution of one fourth cup mild soap per gallon of lukewarm water. Spray the cleaning solution on the fabric and use a soft bristle brush to clean. Allow the solution to soak into the fabric, then rinse thoroughly until all soap residue is removed. Let it air dry for best results. Sunbrella fabrics do not promote mildew growth, but mildew may grow on dirt and other foreign substances if not removed from the fabric.

Removing Mold or Mildew

To remove mold or mildew, prepare a solution of 1 cup of bleach and one fourth cup mild soap per gallon of water. Spray the solution on the entire area and allow it to soak into the fabric for 15 minutes. Clean the entire surface area with a sponge, clean towel, or very soft bristle brush, then rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue. Let it air dry. It's best to clean the entire surface area of the fabric to avoid water rings and stains.

Helpful Hints for Care

Avoid scrubbing, hard bristle brushes, or any other abrasive cleaning methods. Sunbrella should only be allowed to air dry. Protect the area around your Sunbrella fabric when using bleach or other chemical solvents that may discolor non-Sunbrella fabrics. Always rinse Sunbrella thoroughly to ensure optimal cleanliness and longevity.
