I bought this TV a few weeks ago at an exceptional Sam's Club Black Friday sale price online. I couldn't have made a better choice! The unit was personally scheduled for delivery by Sam's delivery service which made it very convenient to get. I didn't have to go fight any crowds to buy it and I didn't have to rent anything to get it home. It's all set up and works great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the last 6 weeks I bought and returned 3 50" smarties: Hisense, Vizio & Samsung. None had the picture quality of this one...none. I needed a new TV to replace an older Hisense 50H4G which had a superlative picture and fast & stable wifi connection. Problem with older the Hisense was the backlights - burnt out twice. And then the main board died. Hisense USED to offer a 2 year warranty - no more. This LG is adequate so far. I like it enough to splurge for the 5 year extended warranty - says a lot - I'm normally "thrifty".

Better than 3 others I just tried

Everything works great except for the Wi-Fi connection. Wi-Fi does not connect. When you try to connect, TV says “Wi-Fi is turned off. Turn back on to connect.” There is no feature to turn the Wi-Fi off or on!!! Tech said the issue is possibly due to dust but then mentioned Wi-Fi wiring is compressed & you will need to open up the back of the TV to unfold. I'm a senior citizen. My TV is on the wall. There is no way I can do this. The TV is out of warranty. Of course, this issue came up afterwards. Ugh! I will have to pay out of pocket to have a repair service come out to fix this issue. I no longer have cable so I need the Wi-Fi for my streaming services. I'm regretting this purchase.

Great if you don't plan to use Wi-Fi

I bought the product 12/01/2018, lost wifi connect ability in June 2019, LG Warranty Service scheduled a repair service that did not show up and did not call to say they would not show. LG is frustrating me tremendously with their replies to my concerns. Average product, horrible service, would not ever do business with this company again.

Fair Product, Terrible Service

After about a month I had to remove the back of the TV to fix a known problem in order for the Wi-Fi to work. It worked initially for a little bit and then the TV told me the Wi-Fi “turned off.”  There is no option to turn the Wi-Fi off. At that point I hardwired the TV to my router and it still has problems connecting to the Internet. I will never again by another LG TV or product for that matter.
