About this item

Product details

A tea for the world traveler, the adventurer, Ellis Island Tea is a smooth flavorful Jamaican Sweet Tea. Refreshing and exotic, Ellis Island Tea is steeped from real herbs and other all-natural ingredients. It is a ready-to-drink beverage containing high levels of antioxidants.

The recipe for this herbal tea made its way to America through Ellis Island more than 110 years ago when the founder's great grandfather Cyril Byron came to New York from Jamaica bringing with him his beloved recipe for hibiscus tea. The recipe has been perfected as it was handed down through generations and today is brewed with love in Detroit by Nailah Ellis-Brown, the great-granddaughter of Cyril Byron.

Hits the spot

I grew up drinking hibiscus as an agua fresca, or a sort of tea. This is perfect as i dont have to stain a pitcher with steeping flowers. Nice level of sweetness!

Very Refreshing

Thank you so much Sam's Club for bringing this delicious tea to the DC area market. The owners story is a good tale of hard work and effort and the product is one of the best iced tea's you can find in a store. This drink is light refreshing and not too high in calories. This tea does not stay in my house long and people are asking me where can they purchase it from.

Very Refreshing!!!

I initially sought and bought this tea because it is made in Detroit and made by a black woman. I definitely wanted to support! BUT, I was not disappointed! The tea is delicious and light and refreshing. It?s not too sweet like most other sweet teas...it?s just right! No artificial aftertaste either. The ingredients are all natural and so simple?water, cane sugar, honey, hibiscus, rosehips, and peppermint! No caffeine, no preservatives! AND, one final thing that?s a must have for ME...any tea that I don?t make and is store bought, must be in a glass container! Home run Sam?s! P.s. The price at Sam?s is great, also!
