I submitted my taxes but it got rejected because I inputed an incorrect Federal Indentification number.  I corrected it and resubmitted the rejected tax return but I had to input my credit card information again.  If my taxes are accepted, will my credited be charged the second time?

I moved for VA to SC during 2025.  I personally found Turbo Tax more difficult to work with than prior years. I filed my returns but I'm still not finding or understanding how to process selling a home is Va and buying a home in SC from a capital gains perspective.  My bad and I'll have to contact a local tax expert to validate my assumptions.

Turbo Tax use when moving states

I have been using Turbo Tax for over the past 10 years.  It's very user friendly and cover all the necessary details to do your taxes correctly. I have never had an issue during this time, only audited once, and Turbo Tax handled all conversations with the IRS and corrected my problem. I would highly recommend giving them a try if you prefer doing your taxes yourself.

Highly recommended for over 10 years.

As a long time Turbo Tax user I found this year's version to be less user friendly than previous versions.  Also I find the lack of state return documentation worksheets to be a problem.  If the software transfers an amount from the federal information entered but changes the amount for any reason there should be a worksheet generated, especially when your telephone support does not know why the amount changes.  A simple worksheet showing the computation performed by the software should be provided.

Better know your tax law

Experienced tax preparer.  I did use TTax online help screens. I did require screen sharing help via phone assistance just to get TTax Individual Advantage software to download initially. That was frustrating.  Phone assistance was 1st Class.  I think it was easier in 2024 to import W2s or 1099s. Had to key data in this year.

1st Class Phone Support

Even though is a waist of time, given the fact I have reported the same problem in previous years WITHOUT resolution. I have used TurboTax for over 25 years and the biggest problem/disappointment/inconvenience in every year is the product's failure to import my 1099R information from previous years. As the principal taxpayer (first on the form), t imports my wife's information. EVERY year I have had to re-enter my information, even though that information has not changed in over 20 years. This is unacceptable. Intuit's failure to address to correct this deficiency is indicative of corporate apathy regarding customer satisfaction. My wife tells me that I must insane: repeating same constructive criticism year after year and expecting a different outcome.

TurboTax is average at best.

I have used Turbotax for the past 15 years and this years version is the worst so far. The step by step guide is very confusing and leaves out important questions. If you are not very careful you will leave out required information. Also, even though I am a Florida resident 9 no state income tax) the program instructed me to pay $45 to download the Florida state program!

Not as good a prior years

Turbo tax should prompt you if you select "refund by check" that the federal government no longer accepts refund by check unless special circumstances.  From EO 14247 3/25/2025.  My refund is delayed and I have to go to IRS.gov to enter my bank info.  I been a customer of Turbo Tax since the days of 3 1/2 floppies or before and I am disappointed in your product.

You have a bug on the driver license entry page.  If you accidently select a date format under ISS instead of driver license you cannot deselect it or move on unless you enter a false date.

No Federal refund check

I am very disappointed with the removal of the ItsDedutible functionality from TurboTax.  It has me looking for alternative products for next year.  In addition, TurboTax fails to actually include the Tax Calculation worksheet, which is a basic necessary worksheet, despite the fact that the actual tax number in the TurboTax worksheet refers to it in the text, and there is literally no source shown for where that number comes from. I had to download the IRS worksheet and fill it out by hand to check the calculation

Disappointed in Turbotax

I have used Turbo Tax or over 15 years, and they just seem to be getting worse. First, they no longer have the running tabulation of what is due or will be returned on the top banner. Second, the "convenience charge" for asking to pay with your credit card is beyond absurd and illogical.  If someone owes 1000, at your rate of 2.49%, they would be paying $31 to file. Considering most cards only GIVE 1 or 2%, it would actually be a loss.
Finally, while there IS fine print, still trying to advertise "Free State" without the filing (an additional $25), is another example of being deceptive and trying to gouge customers at every turn. So MAJORLY disappointed after all these years.
