Duracell® Automotive Battery, Group Size 24F, is a durable, maintenance-free battery for use in your car, light truck or van. This 12 volt automotive battery is optimized to give you maximum all-weather starting power in even the most extreme weather conditions. It is the ideal solution for reliable power and performance in automotive applications.

What are cranking amps and cold cranking amps?

Cranking amps (CA) are what determine how much power you have to start your vehicle under most weather conditions. Cold cranking amps (CCA) determine how much power you have to start your vehicle in extreme cold conditions. The CCA specification is lower because it's harder for car batteries to provide power in cold ambient temperatures.

What are the battery's specifications?

This Duracell auto battery is 12 volts with right-hand positive polarity. It delivers 752 CCA at 0° F and 890 CA at 32° F with a reserve capacity of 120 minutes.

Reserve Capacity

The reserve capacity specification indicates how many minutes the automotive battery is able to operate the most essential vehicle functions while driving at low speeds if the alternator fails. Essential functions in this context are the windshield wipers, low beam headlights and windshield defroster.

Probably a good battery but won't strap down

Well if looks like Sam's Club in my area doesn't stock 27F (v6 Tacoma owners, Most Toyota Trucks). In place they have this 24F battery. This battery is too tall to strap in and has less reserve than the OEM 27F. I am not sure whey Duracell lists this as compatible when it is inferior to the OEM requirement. Toyota lists the 27F batteries for the V6 Tacoma and 24F for the L4 Tacoma.

    Had battery replaced.

    Left key turned to the right in ignition all night. Battery completely dead. Called store and three-year warranty had expired exactly a month earlier. Had it charged and went to store and purchased a new one. After the fact I asked if I could have had the old one checked to see if it were still good. Mechanic said that would had taken over an hour. That was fine because I didn't have the time. I purchased the new battery for my peace of mind and the warranty. Wanted to be prepared for the cold weather.

    Duracell battery deal.

    Great deal. I’ve had several Duracell batteries before and they have all performed well and been long lasting. Sam’s price beat the auto speciality and discount stores, so I’m happy with the price. If it lasts like the last one it should last almost 5 years, which I think is pretty good.

    Nissan Xterra Battery

    Walmart battery lasted 11 years, when it died a tried a Weize (China) AGM battery. This only lasted 18 months. I have now purchased this Duralast Group 24F for my Nissan Xterra and am confident it will last many years.
