Member's Mark Beef Meatloaf with Bacon Jam

There’s nothing quite like walking through the front door of a home, to smell the aromas of a delicious meal cooking inside - especially if bacon is involved. That was our goal in conceptualizing our bacon jam meatloaf. We wanted to create a product that not only nourishes your body, but also your soul. We began with whole muscle premium beef that we ground and blended with the perfect number of spices to create a tender, mouthwatering meatloaf. But we didn’t want to stop there. We then slathered it in a delectable jam of savory bacon combined with a sweet blend of onion, balsamic vinegar, whole roasted garlic cloves and spices. Once this was all together, we cooked it using the sous vide method where we have precise cooking control over the temperature to ensure that it’s perfectly cooked, every time. Not only does this method guarantee a perfectly cooked meatloaf, it also elevates it to be as tender and juicy in every bite. No dry meatloaves here. Since it’s already cooked, enjoying a homecooked meal is as easy as pressing a few buttons. Our bacon jam meatloaf can easily be heated using any appliance you have in your kitchen from the microwave to the oven, to even in a pot of boiling water; still in its heat safe pouch, of course. This allows you to serve a meal quickly and easily that’s full of flavor and full of comfort. The cooking instructions you can either boil or bake in the oven. I used the oven option. It did not look to appealing out of the package, but once cooked it looked completely different. It smelled and tasted good. I'd buy again.

Meatloaf

This caught my eye because of the bacon, and I was expecting it to be bacon wrapped, but it had some type of bacon sauce, and it was a whole meatloaf, and this had an excellent flavor, and I would definitely purchase it again!

Excellent flavor

I was pleasantly surprised by this meatloaf with bacon jam. I wasn't sure about the title relating to the gym as I don't love, sweet food, I'm more of a savory person. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised. The jam had more of a vinaigrette flavor, as stated, and the meat was flavorful and tender. It was also very simple to prepare, and a nice, warm, hot meal for the family.

Nice

Tasted very good.  Easy to cook in boiling water.  Bacon jam a plus.  Good portion size.  Mouth feel could be better, maybe too much bread crumbs. Can't wait to buy again.

Tasty Meatloaf

I have to say.. the package was very misleading. they give you a microwaveable pan, but you cannot microwave this meatloaf, im not sure i would have, but i was hoping it would have been oven safe but it was not. You have to boil it? or take it out-which i did. Its very messy. I would not pay the price it was, as for the mess and the size of it, it was very small. I have to say it was tasty my husband and I both enjoyed the flavor. If it was bigger, had an oven safe tray, or even removed the misleading tray, and did not put it in a boil in bag  and not so expensive i would highly recommend it.

Very tasty... but

This was an interesting item. The packaging was difficult to work with and extremely messy preparing to cook. I would prefer the Bacon jam be packed separately and added later in the cook. By the end, it was very runny. The bacon jam flavor was very good,  but the meatloaf itself was rather bland. I don't think I'd buy it again without some improvements in the flavor and packaging.

Interesting

The package was misleading.  You have two choices on how to reheat the meatloaf  - first boiling in packaging; or removing it from packaging (extremely messy) and reheating in  oven safe dish for a hour.  Size it will feed up to 4 ppl. with additional side items.  Taste - very sweet / had good flavor (reminded me of baked beans).  Not something I would purchase again.

Sweet/But flavorful

The flavor was OK but the texture is not pleasant.  It is ground too fine or has too many fillers or both. My wife and I both love figs, onions and balsamic, but the mix on this meatloaf was not enjoyable.. A left over piece used as a sandwich was also not very pleasant.  It was easy to prepare and serve

No bad but not our favorite

The cooking instructions are very different, I didn't want to boil it so I baked it.   It smelled really good but wasn't a fan of the taste.   It was too sweet.  I usually like meatloaf with ketchup so maybe this was just different then I'm used to.   Don't feel like it was worth the price.

Sweet meatloaf

I wanted to like it but it is not very good. The Bacon Jam was nasty. It is not very convenient to cook to as you have to have a pan to cook the meat loaf. Other brands you are able to cook the contents within its packaging. Go elsewhere if you are looking for meatloaf. My family actually only act a quarter of it and threw out the remaining because it wasn't good.
