Fettucine Alfredo with Lemon

Martha's Chard is Martha Stewart's go to wine, so she literally pairs it with everything. Martha's Fettucine Alfredo with Lemon is fun yet elegant recipe that pairs really well with Martha's Chard.

Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients
 1 cup heavy cream
3 egg yolks
1 cup grated parmesan, plus more for garnish
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest, plus 2 tablespoons lemon juice (from 1 lemon)
1 pound fettucine
Coarse salt and ground pepper

Directions

1. Whisk cream, egg yolks, Parmesan, lemon zest, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl until combined.

2. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup pasta water; drain pasta and return to pot.

3. Immediately stir in egg and cheese mixture until well combined adding enough pasta water to create a thin sauce that coats pasta.

4. Add lemon juice and season to taste with salt and pepper. serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.
