We got our first 4 star knives (5 piece set) in the 1980s. We have since added steak knives, another paring knife plus Santoku and Nakiri models. The 5.5" prep is a new go to that is a really interesting "in-between" the European and Japanese styles.

This knife is very sharp and nice to use on smaller things like mushrooms, strawberries, and smaller tomatoes.  I like the fact that it keeps my knuckles off the cutting board unlike a paring knife.   The only negative thing I have to say is that the handle feels a little
cheap.

Sharp, nice for small to mid size jobs

This is a reasonably priced, quality product.  I’m particular about the knives I buy and their maintenance.  I’m going to enjoy this knife!

Thank you love the knife and balance most the thin blade and single bevel from the edge to the spine. I've been buying swilling and wusthof from the 70s, i bought a wusthof too but it had a secondary apex bevel thinner blade which despite thinner didn't cut as well.

Feels great in my hand, very easily maneuvered and cuts very well.

Ergonomic

Handle by shape matches my 4 star knives.  However, the size of the handle is much smaller than the handles of  my complete Four Star knife set.  The size of the handle is about the same as the steak knives.  Way too small to handle the function of this 5.5" Prep knife.

Handle Design flaw

I have many of the other knives from the four star series but this one doesn’t feel as substantial as the other original ones. It’s too thin and lacks the gravitas of the others. The look and feel seem lacking the weight and comfort of the others. I’m disappointed.

It is a very sharp knife ! Only thing I do not appreciate is that the plastic handler is so cheap and light

Good knife but not the quality I was expecting

This knife is lightweight and nimble.  My main complaint is the pencil-thin handle.  I have small hands and it is just too small to get a good grip on the knife.

Misleading

It is small and delicate. I will be returning it. It was not what I expected.
