10,000 / 8,000 Watt Troy-Bilt Portable Generator with CO Sensor Technology

Portable Gas-Powered Generator is a robust and versatile solution for both home backup. Its high wattage capacity means it can easily handle large appliances, such as refrigerators, and even some HVAC systems, making it a reliable choice during power outages or for powering multiple tools on a worksite. Its user-friendly design, electric start feature ensures quick and hassle-free operation, while the intuitive control panel provides easy access to a variety of outlets, including both 120V and 240V options. Safety is enhanced with built-in circuit breakers and covered outlets, protecting both the user and the equipment from potential hazards. Portability is another highlight, thanks to the durable steel frame, never-flat wheels, and a fold-down handle. While the unit is heavy—over 200 pounds—the thoughtful design makes it manageable for one person to move when necessary. The generator’s large fuel tank allows for extended run times, up to 11 hours at 50% load, reducing the need for frequent refueling and making it suitable for long-term use during emergencies. Noise levels are typical for a generator of this size—not silent, but reasonable for its output. Routine maintenance is straightforward, with accessible components and clear instructions, contributing to Troy-Bilt’s reputation for reliability and longevity. Overall generator stands out for its power, durability, and ease of use. It’s an excellent investment for anyone seeking dependable backup power for their home or jobsite, offering peace of mind and consistent performance when it matters most.

Troy-Bilt is a trusted brand and I am so happy to now have this portable generator for emergencies. It’s one of those things that you hope you don’t have to use too much but definitely great to have! It’s a very large unit weighing over 200 pounds. It has multiple outlets (including GFCI’s) and enough power to keep multiple items running at the same time. It has never-flat wheels and foldable handles which makes moving it around easy enough to do by myself. It has quite a large fuel capacity (6.6 gallons) so it will run for hours before needing to refuel. A great feature that this has is a carbon monoxide warning with auto shut-off. The included operators manual is easy to read and understand for first time generator owners like myself. The only con to this was it didn’t have specific instructions to assemble the wheels and handles. It wasn’t too difficult to do just by looking at the picture on the box but instructions would have been helpful and reassured me that I did it correctly.
