Reliable Power for Camping – Troy-Bilt Inverter

I recently used the Troy-Bilt Inverter TBXIGFN70115 for a weekend camping trip, and here’s my detailed take to help others decide. With 2800 running watts and 2800 starting watts, it powered my RV’s lights, a small fridge, and a coffee maker without issues, which was a huge plus. The inverter technology delivered clean energy, keeping my phone charger and laptop safe, and the compact, portable design made it easy to carry to our campsite. What I liked most was the quiet operation—much quieter than my old generator—allowing us to enjoy the outdoors without constant noise. The sturdy build and clear control panel were also impressive, simplifying setup. However, I didn’t love the fuel efficiency; it consumed more gas than expected during extended use, which added to the trip cost. Additionally, the lack of shipping availability at my location meant I had to pick it up, which was inconvenient. At $549.98, it’s a solid investment for portability and power, but I’d suggest testing fuel usage for longer outings.

Very useful product

The weight is manageable and can be moved around if need be. Has a sight guide for fuel which is very helpful. Easier pull start than a standard gas mower. Plenty of charging ports with 4 plugs, a usb, usb-c, and a parallel connector. Standard noise level for a product like this. Does not come with oil, but easy enough to get a out is 10W-30. Overall a great product.

Peace of mind as good as it gets

So happy to finally have a generator as it feels like we lose power multiple times a year during storms! This generator was easy to operate once I made sure to read instructions. I love that you use regular unleaded gas and don’t have to make a confusing gas/oil mixture. It is heavy duty but I can still carry around it myself. It was easy to start up and it’s quieter than my neighbor’s generator. I can’t wait to take it camping or should I say glamping with us next month! This will serve us well for years!
