Omg it actually works! How do more people not know about this? Everything else I have tried is total snake-oil... lamps that are supposed to repel them, liquid you hang in trees at the edge of a space, etc. etc.; all complete garbage. But this thing ACTUALLY WORKS AS DESCRIBED. I no longer have my own personal swarm hovering around me while I work in the garden. I'm in North Mississippi, where the mosquitoes are small but very, very plentiful.

I'm a fan. I believe this really works. The proof? I get mosquitos bites if I stand in my front yard for more than 5 minutes. When I bring my Thermacell out into the backyard when I am raking and pulling weeds I can take up to an hour and I have zero mosquito bites. So, I do believe it works.

It works

I live in the Southeast, where the mosquitos and sand gnats make it near impossible to enjoy the outdoors after 6 pm.  I purchased a Thermacell and set it up 20 minutes before going out to the patio.  I sat outside and did not see one biting insect within the range of the E55.  I will be purchasing more Thermacell products in the near future. Highly recommend!!!

Great product!

We happened to attempt sitting outside on the day the repeller arrived. The mosquitoes chased us back inside. About an hour later, the repeller arrived and we tried it out. We were comfortable for the next two hours weeding the garden not 20 feet away from where we were earlier.

It works!

This device is well worth the money if mosquitos like you and they like me.  They don't seem to like my wife but it seems to help me a lot.  Caution - I think that the flat black color absorbs heat from the sun which results in the repellent evaporating even when turned off if it is left in the sun.  I went through the first cartridge in less than a month even though only using it in early am and late evening because I left it out in the sun during the day.  I now move it into the shade when off.

Great Device

My wife loves it; not so much myself.
She claims it works wonders while I’m still getting eaten alive.
Three of us on the patio last night; my wife and brother Jim never had a single bite, myself on the other hand was getting eaten alive.
I guess I’m just a mosquito magnet; go figure.

Works wonders

Just not sure about this one.  I've used the Thermacell lanterns that use the little propane tank and I really like them.  They seem to do a pretty good job.  
This new product will only last about 3-4 hours before needing to be recharged, so it requires a nightly recharge. The 12-hour cartridge didn't last long at all so the 40-hour cartridge is nice to have been included.
I have placed this this right below my patio table so I'm sitting very close to it, but I have still been bitten by mosquitos a few times.  Also, the little no-see-ums still buzz around.
I'm going to continue using until the 40-hour cartridge runs out and then will make up my mind.

Jury is still out

Lots of good things here.  Easy to charge and monitor as the choice of lights and patterns is good.  What makes it mixed bag for me is that it is easy to rollover.  And the liquid in the middle it can get oily.  Works well on a table of other protected area so we will be keeping/enjoying it.

All wonderful, but it tips

I wish you guys made a product that I could use indoors to resell insects from coming into my house we live in the woods and the mosquitoes are wild when I open my door they come in and take so long ti find and kill them inside I need some help this is cool fir outside but would it be safe to use in a extremely vented shed space indoors

Clearly this won't be posted, but...the mosquitoes are still biting. I went with the Wirecutter recommendation and it seems like this product can't tout itself as a force field against 100% of biting insects; my legs and face tell a different tale. While I'll never know what the effect of not using the repeller in similar conditions (because I'm not brave/stupid enough to perform an unbiased, scientific experiment), my family and I retreated to the safety of indoors because of the bites. I can't recommend this product as better than not using it at this time.
