My 8 year old loves to learn new things and is a big animal lover. She's the kind of kid who loves Bill Nye and Netflix's "Brainchild"- thirsting for new information! This is a Smithsonian book after all, so there's nothing negative I can say. Plenty of illustrations and cool factoids all over. This will keep your kid busy for a while! Love Smithsonian books.

I bought two of these books for two different grandkids.  They have loved reading them and learning all kinds of interesting facts about so many different animals.  The book is nicely bound, beautifully printed and full of details.
