A Backyard Staple

If you’re looking for a toy that actually gets the kids excited to head outdoors, the Step2 My First Picnic Basket is a total winner. We’ve had ours for a bit now, and it has become the centerpiece of our backyard playtime. What I love most is how it bridges the age gap in our house. It’s rare to find something that captures the attention of both a 3-year-old and an 8-year-old, but this set does exactly that. Why It’s a Hit: Multi-Age Appeal: My toddler loves the tactile feel of the play food and the "click" of the basket lid, while my 8-year-old takes charge of the "menu" and organizes elaborate outdoor feasts. This set is wonderful my grandson has fun playing with it. He loves the jelly jar and the cookies the most. Very sturdy cart and great sized food for littles.

The PERFECT pretend set

First, unboxing was exciting for my 3 girls. They couldn’t wait to play with this toy. All 3 of them ages 7, 5, and 18 months LOVE picnics, so this is a grand idea. The assembly was pretty simple; just attach the wheels to the basket cart. Right away the girls were pretending. The food and dinnerware are all sturdy and good quality. I couldn’t believe how much fun my 7 y/o was having playing with this set and my 18 month old really enjoys pushing the basket around! My 5 y/o played with this set for 3 hours STRAIGHT. Big win!!
