About this item

Product details

Stella Rosa Black Semi-Sweet Red Wine is a proprietary blend of several red grape varietals including Brachetto. The grapes are harvested, pressed, centrifuged, and then held cold as juice at 28 degrees Fahrenheit. The juice is fermented at various intervals throughout the year allowing the wine to remain fresh and delicate. The Riboli family uses this technique to capture the fresh flavors of blackberry, blueberry, and raspberry. During fermentation process, the alcohol is created in tandem with the wine’s natural carbonation. Once the desired sweetness is achieved, the wine is centrifuged and bottled. Its natural acidity and low pH strike the perfect balance with the wine’s inherent sweetness. It is not cloying or heavy. Serve chilled by-the-glass, pour over ice, or mix with your favorite spirit for an all-natural, fruit-forward cocktail. Try pairing it with fresh Havarti and Manchego cheeses, blue cheese-stuffed hamburgers, bratwurst bathed in beer, dark chocolate soufflé and black walnut ice cream.

To create Stella Rosa Wines, the Riboli family chose the region of Asti, a province in Piedmont, Italy, as the source for its aromatic grapes, which have become the hallmark for the Stella Rosa style of wines. The area of Asti has particular significance to the family, as it is the birthplace of the family matriarch, Maddalena Riboli. The first Stella Rosa was Moscato D’Asti, which has become a flagship of the brand. Soon after, Stella Rosa Rosso was created – the brand’s first semi-sweet, semi-sparkling red wine blend, and first wine of its kind to be brought to America from Asti. The rapid phenomenal successes of these two wines began the lineage of Stella Rosa, which now boasts over 35 distinctive flavors.

Fun, flavorful, and approachable, but not for thos

A bold, fruit-forward semi-sweet red that’s instantly approachable and highly drinkable. Designed for casual sipping, dessert pairing, and those who prefer a softer, sweeter red.Tasting Notes Aroma: ripe blackberries, blueberries, and dark cherry with hints of jam and floral lift. Palate: lush, sweet fruit (blackberry and concord) up front, light effervescence, soft body, and a smooth, slightly syrupy finish. Acidity/Tannins: bright, moderate acidity balances the sweetness; tannins are minimal. Alcohol/Sugar: noticeable sweetness and moderate alcohol; styled to emphasize fruit rather than structure. Balance & Style Sweet-forward and easygoing rather than complex or ageworthy. The light fizz and syrupy texture make it feel lively and approachable. Best enjoyed chilled. Value & Occasion Great for casual gatherings, parties, or as a dessert wine. Also works well for wine newcomers and those who dislike dry wines. Affordable and widely available. Pros Very approachable for non-traditional wine drinkers. Bold, fruity flavor and easy to drink. Versatile for cocktails or dessert pairings. Cons Too sweet for fans of dry, structured wines. Lacks complexity and depth for serious wine enthusiasts. Not suited for long-term aging. Who it’s for Ideal for casual drinkers, party hosts, dessert pairings, and anyone seeking a sweet, fruit-driven red.

Great for the average wine or non-wine drinker.

Not a wine drinker, but this is great stuff. No bitter or dry after taste, sweet but not too sweet. Great wine at a great price for the average non-wine drinker.

Stella Black

This wine is light and has a great taste. It is not to sweet and easy on the tongue.
