I can't stand up very long, so I put most of it together sitting on a chair.  I did wrap electric tape around the little pieces that snap together, and I did tap each shelf down with a rubber mallet. I used the wheels but am keeping the leveling feet in case I want to add heavier items later.  I found the whole process very easy and am going to get a second unit soon.

No Problem for a 74 year old

Very happy with these shelves.  My husband put it together in 15 minutes and said it was a well built shelve.  I bought a second one because I put all my Xmas decorationa in totes.  Now I can roll it from the storage room to the Living room with ease. Very happy with these shelves!

This shelving unit was a game changer for organizing our garage and our totes.
BUT-- it is definitely TWO PERSON assembly. I had to wait for my husband to help me assemble because to seat the shelves, the plastic brackets will pop off too easily.  Maybe I could have used masking tape to temporarily hold them while I put each shelf down? I didn't try it, but I do think that could have worked.

One pole had a slight dent in it, but we were able to straighten it very gently with a hammer and screwdriver so that it screwed into the next piece (thank gosh!). 

LOVE:
--it has two locking wheels
--each tote sits on an actual shelf
--it is sturdy (each shelf holds a lot of weight)
--size is decent (we wish it was a little more compact--but this makes it easier to grab or put back totes

Things to note:
--2 person assembly!!
--or try using masking tape to hold the plastic brackets on the poles as you place the shelves
--the wheels still swivel in locking motion but they don't roll (we noticed this because our garage floor is uneven) BUT, we LOVE that it is sturdy and rolls for easy rearranging.

Great to organize 27 gallon totes!

At first I had problems assembling,  but then I figured it's all preset.  The lines on the poles are where the black pieces snap together.  Makes every shelf the exact distance  from each other for the storage bins to fit. I assembled by myself,  would have been faster if I waited for my husband, but I was excited to receive and needed to store and organize some things in the garage.  I'm ordering maybe 2 more, i loved it that much, especially because of the wheels.

So easy to assemble. Best with two people but could complete solo. Sturdy material. Easy and smooth rolling! Smaller profile than most. Def worth the money.

Best Tote Shelf

I was pretty worried as I bought five or six of these things before there were any reviews, and didn't put them together until I saw the bad reviews- long outside of the return window.
Thanks to the reviews, I was prepared when putting them together. I suggest having a good roll of electrical tape ready to go. when you put the two plastic pieces together and fit them to the groove on the pole, use electrical tape to stretch around it, pulling it together. I put about two revolutions of tape on each one. Because the electrical tape stretches, there are no wrinkles and it really pulls the two plastic pieces together well.
I never had any issues putting it together doing it that way. I did use a mallet to tap the shelves down a bit more. they don't fully sit on the plastic pieces, but I'm not sure that that's a big deal. They're holding and that's all that matters to me. I'll come back and revisit this review if anything happens, but so far it's fine. Four stars because people shouldn't have to come up with some solution because a product isn't manufactured well enough on its own.Also, there's really no excuse because shelving is about all this company does. I don't know how they got this wrong. 
I do plan to put one more tub on top. just stacked on the top tub but it will be something light like blankets.

USE ELECTRICAL TAPE!!

Thanks Ruby for your suggestion on using tape.  I used black electrical tape and it worked great.  I don't even have to remove it because it barely shows.  Directions were simple and to the point.

The main reason for three stars is because there was pieces missing and I really needed to get this put together as we are doing a closet redo at our business and now I can’t put this rack together because of the two threaded pieces that are missing. I have pictures if you need to see them it won’t let me add them here

Missing parts

Nothing like stacking my stackable storage boxes on a stackable storage shelf to make them double stackable. If it wasn’t for this stackable storage shelf, I would have to move 3 boxes to get my  bottom Christmas box, once a year, for the rest of my life!

A Life Saver!!!!

I had the same experience. Opened the box too late to return and now I am stuck with these useless shelves. I even looked up a couple of videos on you tube on how to build these things because I was sure I was doing something wrong. (BTW the "directions" in the box are terrible.) One of the videos suggested taping the shelves together because he could not get the little black things, that are supposed to snap together to hold up the shelves, to snap together as much as he tried. Stay away if you don't want to waste your time and money.
