Just got the chair today. Did have help putting it together but you need no tools at all. it pulls out easily. I'm 5'1" %26 it sits perfectly for me. I can't wait to use it more. I would recommend a fabric protector %26 getting the extending because of the moving parts %26 amount of use. So far very pleased.
