Select Surfaces Harlow Molding Kit is designed to complement Select Surfaces® laminate flooring - Harlow (990321327 and 990321479). Each kit contains four moldings, each 44 inches in length. These moldings are easy to install and will add the finishing touch to your new floor! T-Molding The main function of a T-molding for laminate flooring is to provide a seamless transition between two types of flooring or floor surfaces of the same height, while also protecting the edges of the laminate flooring. It helps to bridge the gap between the two floors, providing a smooth and safe transition that reduces the risk of tripping or stumbling. Reducer Molding The main function of a reducer molding for laminate flooring is to ensure the transition from the laminate flooring to a lower surface. They reduce the height difference between the two floors or floor surfaces, providing a safety for foot traffic. This can be especially important in areas where the height difference is significant or where the transition is frequently crossed, as it helps to prevent tripping hazards and ensures a more comfortable and seamless experience for those walking across the transition. Common examples are the transition between laminate flooring and vinyl flooring. End Cap Molding End caps ensure that the transition from the laminate flooring to a higher surface is both visually appealing and safe for foot traffic. You get several different kinds of floor moldings in a package and considering you get a two pack you get plenty to do everything! These are actually very nice and they are an excellent buy when you consider how much it cost to buy one transition board at the big box stores. I would definitely recommend.

It is everything you need for floor moldings (other than round molding). I had to replace some moldings around my house as they are chipped and worn in the high traffic area. It was very easy to replace and install. The pattern is random and realistic.

Best quality molding kit I've ever had in my possession

Installation is easy peasy, and the outcome looks like you've spent thousands of dollars in renovations. Would definitely recommend if you're in the mood to spruce up your house.

I love the idea of being able to purchase a kit to bring home and make sure it matches. Otherwise you could end up wasting time going back and forth from home to the store before you get the right one.

The color is lovely!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I feel like I can’t give a completely fair review of Select Surfaces Flooring. I was able to choose the color I would be receiving, but I didn’t realize that it would be a molding kit. I thought I would be receiving flooring pieces/samples, which I could have used, but there’s not much I can do with a molding kit without flooring pieces/planks, so I’ll do my best to give my opinion on these moldings. 

Select Surfaces Heritage Oak Molding Kit is a collection of the pieces of flooring that one would use to put wherever there’s a stop or break in the floor to add a finishing touch and protect and cover the edges of the floor. For example, where flooring comes to a stop at a door, a molding piece would be placed to finish it off. It looks like it would be simple to self-install, with easy to understand instructions on the back of the package. 

The very first thing I noticed about these pieces was the color. It looked lighter and more natural in the photos online. I’m looking for new flooring for my bedroom and bathroom, and that’s why I was so excited to receive this Voxbox. In person, though, it appeared to be a much different color, with different shading and texture than the online photo had. The laminate that I received looked like basic oak wood laminate from the 90s, to be honest. It didn’t appear to mimic real wood, at all, but looked very much like laminate. I took photos of it against the laminate that I have in my living room, and I feel like I can easily see the difference in the quality of the texture. I have a small half bath that also needs new flooring, so I may try and find the planks that match this Select Surfaces molding kit and see what I think. I do know that molding kit pieces are not always a great representation of the flooring pieces as a whole; they tend to look of much lower quality than the actual floor planks. This is the reason that I only took one star off. Even though I think it looks “cheap”, the actual flooring planks might look much better. I may end up purchasing the flooring that goes with the molding, but I don’t know if I can get over the color.

Not quite as expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really was excited about this molding kit although it was nice to see in Erwin. It wasn’t enough for a half bath that I wanted to use it in. Also very short. I have only ever had real wood molding. And it is much taller then these. The color looked great. But this was almost plastic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wood quality is great, but just your very classic crown molding.  It does come with all of the basic things you need to install.  We didnt get many of these to really see how it looks in a full room, but if you like the oak look, i think you will be satisfied with what this has to offer

Nice wood

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay - so I would never order this myself, but it came so here goes. I despise this stuff. It’s fake wood and screams fake and plastic. You know it’s fake plastic cheap stuff from 200 feet away, you catch even a glimpse of it and you’ll feel insulted and ashamed. I’d pass and never talk about it again.
