In the past I took the tape off the despencer because it was So thin and would break .

I love double tape for scrapbooking. What I don't like is the extreme high price and one out of 5 rolls has tape roll back on itself. In regular tape you can pull it back and continue to use it, but double sided tape doesn't allow that. Once it breaks and sticks to itself, it's no good.
